University
University of Cambridge

Subject
Mathematics

Period
Three year BA which I've done, and a one year Masters which I'm in the middle of.

Do you like what you're doing?
Love everything about it. Apart from the workload, maybe. And the Saturday lectures.

Career Ideas
PhD in Dynamical Systems either at Cam, Bristol or Warwick. No offers as yet, but then again I only just applied.

University
Southampton University

Subject
Information Technology in Organisations

Period
3 Years BSc - First year

Do you like what you're doing?
Love the university and social life, its brilliant. The work isnt too bad either, but theres a lot of teamwork, which i suppose is great for industry and thats what our course is all about.. getting us good jobs in industry and making us adaptable dynamic people with a wide skill-set. The workload isnt bad, mainly due to being a first year. The second year apparently gets much tougher.

Career Ideas
Ive got things to think about. My dad has his own engineering firm, which i might inherit and keep it going or pay someone to keep running it or maybe sell it. As for my own skills, i dont know exactly at the moment. I think my course is telling me im missing my designing/art. So i might move into that industry.

University
UWE

Subject
Computer Science

Period
First of three/four years

Do you like what you're doing?
No. Amazing how doing a degree in something that was a hobby really puts you off it. Also, university life seems to suck in general :(

Career Ideas
None. Yet.

University
University of Lincoln

Subject
Games Computing

Period
1 of 3 years

Do you like what you're doing?
It's alright, bit tricky though.

Do you like what you're doing?

Southampton and the people here are awesome, but the course leaves a little to be desired.

Was at University of Edinburgh, now at Oxford Aviation Training (this is not oxford uni, its just a flying school)

I'm personally in my fourth and final year of a Aero Engineering masters at Imperial College London, though I will most likely be applying to OAT in the fall - if I do start there I guess you will be just returning from Phoenix :)

Have you gone with the HSBC loan?

University
Exeter Uni

Subject
Bmus Jazz

Period
Im on my 3rd and final year

Abolsulty love what im doing, my course is practical based, so i do a lot of playing, in fact most of my time is either spent practising my saxophone or rehearsing with the other guys off my course.

Career Ideas
Realisticly i will do anything thats offered, any kind of playing or teaching. The band im in at the moment are hoping to start working on cruise ships after we graduate, which i think we are more then capable of doing. What more could i ask for, traveling the world for free and being paid doing the job i love :D

Career Ideas
Looking into doing an engineering officers course for the RAF as a last resort, other than that I have a few interviews with the likes of Shell, BP also looking at companies like haliburton, total and Arup for different engineering jobs. May also look at doing my PhD

University
University of Warwick

Subject
Computer Science & Management

Do you like what you're doing?
I do but I sometimes wonder if it's just because I'm "good" at it in general. Dont get me wrong, I love computers and spend far too much time on them but I dont particularly enjoy learning some of the stuff we're taught (HCI, Schemas, Logic, Maths)

Career Ideas
I'm on a £30k annual [pro-rata] salary (yum!) over summer with an internship at an investment bank (Goldman Sachs) over summer doing development, I hope to work there after uni if I impress them enough that they want me back.

University
University of Nottingham

Subject
Economics

Period
3 years, and I'm first year, so I've done one term.

Do you like what you're doing?
I like the subject but it's pretty dull at the moment; I'm not being challenged at all. I went to about 10-15% of lectures last term and still got Firsts and 2:1s in my modules. Hopefully in the second year it'll pick up a bit, but who knows. I'm finding my optional philosophy modules more interesting really.

Career Ideas
Not been offered anything yet, and don't really know what I'd like to do. I'd quite like to own a record label/concert venue, but not sure how I'd pull that one off.

University
University of Southampton

Subject
MPhys - Physics with Space Science

Period
4 year course - in my 4th year

Do you like what you're doing?
Really enjoyed it, but not got fully into this semester yet.

Career Ideas
Recently got offered a PGCE secondary science course at Exeter. Waiting to accept this.
