What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

Recommendations for best seated experiences? I guess Flight/Racing sims, but I don't have a flightstick. Definitely going to get one now (flight stick, not wheel). Would like to hear of other seated experiences though.

Most games can be played seated.

These use gamepad or touch controls, and are best played seated:
Subnautica
Alien Isolation
Tetris Effect
Star Trek: Bridge Crew
Thumper

Sims worth playing:
DCS flight sim (extremely realistic and requires monster hardware)
IL2 Sturmovik
Project Cars 2
Elite Dangerous
House of the Dying Sun (Steam VR)
End Space (native Quest)

If that type of thing is you're bag, then look up Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. It's overpriced at £22.99, but worth it when they low ball it for £7 at sale price as it's equally short.

Recently played the Outer Wilds thanks to the discounted price last weekend. Probably the best user made VR mod title i've played, great execution visually, motion controls mapped, and what a great (weird) game.

Thanks! It's on my wish list now, waiting for the inevitable sale :)

Walkabout Mini Golf VR.

Not a big fan of golf games, but, this is really well done. Looks great and is fun to play. Recommended if you haven't already tried it out.

Vader Immortal I and II.

These games are cool and all but way too short and way too scripted to be any sort of immersive experience. Never really any danger and the fight scenes kinda suck. Like in the second one when I was near the end of fighting the big monster and you have to throw the spike at him to kill him, my phone rang as I was picking up the spike and I threw it accidently into the wall behind me. But, the monster still died as if I had hit him in the chest.

The Dojo is fun though and the only reason for paying for these games.

Something different Sunday again, this week 'The Rig'

Well curated story laden treadmill experience that reverts to the old school room-scale fumbling around on the floor trying to pick up stuff.

Some nice VR interactions, viewing hologram messages, picking up tablets, messing around with functional utilities on the ship. Hard to recommend it as i wasn't really digging the treadmill nature of it, one thing always led to another with it seeming kind of obvious every time.

It has a decent story and presents itself well, they've put a lot of effort in to it. If that alone ticks your boxes, it's worth around £10.

OK, I got the Quest 2 so I downloaded the Beat Saber demo from the store.

What a game!! I have played the demo level about 10 times already. I am afraid of buying the full game, I think I might get addicted.

Just a quick question, Are good hits the best? Or can you get perfect hits?

Population One is great, I'm a bit lucky that my housemate has a Rift S so we can play together. That said on more often than not you get decent randoms, VR crowd is typically a bit older.

Met a hell of a lot of kids in rec room :D. Have to admit, the kids in the quests have been friendly and helpful. The ones in paintball are just funny (at least for me) when they try and insult you.

When I had my Rift S, I`d been playing Fallout 4 VR. It, by default, is very unoptimised, but once you do the work and mod it, it`s a great game. Almost lived it for 6 months, between work, especially during Covid Lockdown. I also like to use it as my exercise regimen since my work has me mostly seated. I`ll play standing, when standing, seated when seated, never fast-travel, etc. It can be quite a work out after a few hours.
I might as well get a physical benefit out of it while playing it!

After selling the rift S and waiting for the G2 for a couple of months now, I`m beginning to suffer pseudo-withdrawal symptoms. I almost fondly think of the Fallout world like the real world! haha!

I got the VR mod for GTA V working today on my quest 2 via the link thingy. Its great but I've never felt so sick in my life, and I never get motion sickness. My missus played it for 2 minutes and promptly barfed.

In gonna play it some more tomorrow :D

Still playing In Death: Unchained on the Quest 2, which has had an amazing new update which massively increases the draw distance. Also gone back to playing modded Skyrim VR which never ceases to amaze me about how good it is. Apart from level loading crashes, that is.

Phasmophobia in VR :D

Still using a Rift cv1 but thinking about a G2 soon. But the wait time seems quite long for them. Wont be going Oculus again due to enforced facebook :\
