Does anyone use Vorpx and get good results? What game(s)?
I actually have it and have been through the installation/uninstallation loops a few times too I'm just wondering if anyone here has game recommendations (sounds like lokiss might do). I have skyrimvr, doom3 vr, and fallout4 vr so would rather play them than use vorpx.Lokiss is the man to talk to!! He uses it, I am going to give my impressions of it, but I haven't used it in while, not since getting the Quest 2.
I have it and used it for a while on the Rift Civ 1 then uninstalled it. Every so often I reinstall it to try it out again, use it for a short while then uninstall it again.
The games that I have played in full VR mode and got good results on were Skyrim, Half life (any of them) The Bioshock games, Doom 2016, Fallout 4. There are other games that you can play like you are playing in 3D on a massive monitor, like the Witcher 3.
What are my thoughts on it? That's a difficult question. It's a great way to get to try out your favourite pancake games in VR. When I first try it out in games after reinstalling it, I am like "Wow, this is amazing" And it is amazing to actually be in the game! However, I have never played any game more than a couple of hours. Even with the games that it works best in there is something not quite right. And the longer I play the more it starts to annoy me. Until eventually I uninstall it.
It's really a marmite program, some people love it, some people hate it. There are always lots of arguments on Reddit whenever it comes up.
My advice, if you have a few quid spare and really want to see some of the games you play in VR, then buy it. Just buy it with knowledge that you might not actually play much/if any of the games you try. And, also with knowledge that there are no refunds, well, actually I don't know if that's still the case or not.
It could be the case that you really like it.

Yeh, even when ive found a game ive thought "this is decent" with vorpx, something has spoiled it. Yesterday i played half life 2 with it but got to the boat scenes which were too fast (nausea inducing), and (for me) dont suit VR (hardly vorpx's fault though). I'm going to try a couple of games i commonly see recommended with it, bioshock infinite and fallout new vegas, plus metro exodus, to see how i get along.
It's still no trial period and no refunds.
Both those games have dedicated vr mods now (1 free, 1 £8) so no vorpx required! Although i will try them out of curiousity to see how they compare...Lokiss was impressed with Cyber Punk in VorpX, he has a thread where he recommends some settings to try out.
Another game that you should try is Red Dead Redemption 2. Haven't tried it myself, but, I hear it's good in VorpX.

If i uninstall it now i'll probably just reinstall it in x months time so won't bother tbh. Going to try a few more games on it and yeah will try cyberpunk, the dedicated mod didnt run with enough fps for me for smooth gameplay. Just realized that ive been a bit too quick in saying certain games look poor on vorpx - some games require a restart to apply fov change after being vorpx'd - i wasn't doing the restart, i was just labelling them poor and removing them, oops.Yeah, I know and the dedicated VR mods tend to be better than Vorpx. Just suggested them because Lokiss seemed very impressed with CyberPunk using VorpX and RDR2, according to those that know, is probably one of the best games in VorpX. So if you don't like either of those two games then you can probably uninstall Vorpx for good
Is Robo Recall: Unplugged worth buying.
Gets good reviews but people are saying it's fairly short.
It's quite good fun but I'd wait for a sale.
Aww yeah it does require a fairly large space to play properly :/its a good game
but i dont have the room for it, so returned it
Definitely agree with Eleven:Table Tennis, fantastic it is.
Just played for an hour on easy mode against the AI getting used to it,quite good fun.
If you want to play against a real person just give me a shout on the hangout thread.
It's an amazing game, works so well in VR.
