What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

How is the vive pro 2? Very nice specs all around
Its probably one of the best all round headsets available right now when used with Index controllers, but its expensive and its not perfect it still relies on fresnel lenses and the mic is dire. There are also quality issues with the software and lcd panels being reported and the vertical FOV being below the Index. So in terms of value it doesn't rate too well but if you want a better all round experience than say the Quest 2 then your options are limited atm

I'm quite enjoying Medal of Honour but the ratio of "standing around in cutscenes watching people talk and sticking a model lighthouse up Ollie's nose" to "actually shooting nazis" is not great. I guess they're trying to break up the intense bits of the game but it goes a bit too far in my opinion.

I'm now on the last chapter of this and the game's much improved in my view. I've now got the hang of two-hand ADS shooting and can reload very fast without accidently grenading myself. The story and characters have remained fun and lighthearted which is nice when lots of AAA games lean towards seriousness and politics. The enemy are slightly bullet spongey and their accuracy is a little too good but it's challenging gunplay thats ramped up nicely as I've got to grips with the game. The cutscene to gameplay ratio has improved too.

I'm honestly surprised at how many reviewers meh'd it as it's a solid 2nd for me behind HL:A (I didn't really click with Boneworks)

Currently playing through HL: Alyx on my Quest 2 and blown away by how good it is.

I never attempted PCVR with my launch unit (only had it for first 2 weeks) but wish I had done as I’d have likely have kept it then.

Dipped my toe into a few others like Pistol Wiped and Pixel Ripped 1995 but right now I’m all in on HL: Alyx.

Wasn't really a fan of it. Some of the criticism was a little harsh, the aesthetics, colour pallet, and models that took a bit of a bashing was undeserved. For me it was just the limited gameplay, even when it ramps up when you reach the HQ, it's little more than Wolfenstein circa 30 years ago as you cut through the level dropping the soldiers. Some neat VR touches, but not enough to move it beyond 7/10 territory. I spose in truth it was a good homage to the original in it's structure, it felt very much of that time with the interlaced vehicular action sequences that were prevalent in games like MOH and NOLF.

Returned today to VTOL VR as id picked up the AH-94 DLC, despite the hefty price tag there wasn't any hesitation, VTOL is a class act worth supporting. Actually managed to get it off the ground at the 2nd attempt, it's very difficult if you've enabled the twist for rudder on the virtual stick. Currently people are recommending hardware peddles which kind of takes the point of the game away.

They added multiplayer in the last update too which has made the game extremely popular. Wasn't brave enough join myself, but experiencing 2up in the AH-94 would have been cool.

It might be what games I've played so far but I was crying out for a decent length campaign of competent shooting. I've played Alyx a slow paced game with not actually all that much shooting, and a Quest game called Shooting Gallery which is what it sounds like. (Plus other non FPS games)

The achilles heel of current VR, big budget decoupled weapon shooters. There's some millage with all these, but try Seeking dawn if you can get it cheap, and BL2VR isn't the worse if you can overlook the daft zoom scopes and one handed tomfoolery.

Ohh and In To The Radius, do look it up.

I've played it wirelessly on Quest 2 and its fantastic, got to chapter 6. Then played from the beginning again to chapter 6 on pimax 8kx, its not wireless but you get huge fov, really immersive. But now won't play further until I can experience it in a true high clarity hmd, i have a varjo aero on order. The downer about HLA for me is that it makes many other vr games look mediocre. But theres plenty of workshop HLA mods to explore yet.

I have VTOL but never played it, once i realized i couldnt use hotas i lost interest! But the AH-94 looks good and I love heli's in VR, think I may have to try it. I have rudder pedals too even though it might be cheating a bit!

Go for it, get some time in before the big boy cousin arrives for DCS in a couple of weeks. Simplicity is where it shines with VTOL, the functional cockpit just makes the game. I was a big fan of Comanche/Hokum back in the day, if they could marry the two games you'd have perfection for the average player.

Just a bit earlier i gave it a go and it and it was much better than i thought, took very little time to get used it. The simplistic graphics didn't bother me either. Everything is smooth unlike msfs and yeah the cockpit interaction is cool.

There's one on each hole, think you need to find them to unlock the hard courses.

Nah you just get to keep the ball if you find one. You unlock the hard version of a course simply by completing 18 holes of the easy version.

The hard versions also feature a treasure hunt which rewards you with a new putter.

You playing wired or wireless? Either way fantastic game and a great headset for it!

I loved Fisherman's Tale, and wanted to find something similar, so gave Floorplan 2 a go... Loving it, weird environmental puzzles and point and click adventure vibes.

Only problem is you need loads of space as it is roomscale with limited teleport locations.
