What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

Bigscreen goes toe to toe with Competizione for the no1 usage slot. Sat in and watched Real Genius for the first time in 30 odd years last week, a bunch of wise cracking americans around my age made it all the more fun.

With Vox machinae getting updated, it reminded me to play Mechwarrior 5 some more. While it might lack the finesse of a motion controlled cockpit, the game as a complete experience and a HOTAS more than makes up the distance. American Truck finally went online is week too, convoys are amazing fun and incredibly immersive with the CB chatter. The people are friendly and super in to it, 100% recommended.

How does Competizione compare to AMS2? Heard it takes a bit of tweaking to get running well in vr.

The humble racing bundle has had an unexpected effect. Installed Automobilista 2 from it - and then was disappointed to realise there's no career mode. So it has ended up getting me back playing PC2 again.
I know there are much, much faster cars out there - but the old Merc 190 Evo is such a hoot to drive in VR with steering wheel and pedals. I've just completed that championship though, so will have to see what car I go with next.

Been playing an oldie but a goodie for the 1st time : Lone Echo.
I wasn't really playing much vr when it came out and didn't like the sound of it, puzzles etc, but just recently tried it & i like it. The polished gameplay and visual quality reminds me of alyx.

I like that car too, i drive it in ac and more so in ams2. Prefer it in ams2 as i find oversteer easier to handle in that sim. The group A m3 e30 is in the same class and good fun. Didn't know pc2 had the merc 190 evo will have to try it see how it compares to ams2 and ac.

Yeah Lone Echo and the sequel are both masters of immersion and character, they're at the top end of the vr market for sure!

Ive been on a sim racing / wheel / vr kick lately and I really wish that Forza 7 had VR support. Driving a 50s formula 1 car around spa with a wheel is great but in VR oof!

PC2 with the wheel and VR in the 60s lotus' is fantastic though.

I do need a new VR action game though on PC or Quest 2...

I'm right next to Brands Hatch right now, and can see the circuit, and hear the touring cars racing round.
It looks, sounds and feels massively familiar and I'm getting a sense of deja vu as I've driven round this track in Project Cars 2. Amazing how these VR games give you the sense you've actually been somewhere.
The same thing happened when I flew IL2 Sturmovik after having had a pleasure flight in a Chipmunk. (I even got to fly it for about 15 mins). I kept getting flashbacks as it felt so close and realistic.

your at brands hatch ? nice !

cant wait for the BTCC to start next month, be good to see my cousin driving again :)

ive only got PC 2 , i find that too realistic and in need of a wheel / pedals, if there was a VR racing game like FH4/5 (not all of it just the racing parts) or like Gran Turismo, then id be extremely happy to get it, but there isnt anything yet is there?

Just at a birthday party near there, not at the race course unfortunately.

There's no proper arcade style racer for VR, at least not a good one. I have a G920, pedals and shifter, in a folding Playseat Challenge racing chair and that gives an astonishingly immersive driving experience in PC2. (Though the force feedback is a bit notchy).
I can't play driving games in VR with a gamepad.

Sorry for the double post, but just got to say I hit 83% accuracy with aim assist off. Now some of that was melee for sure, but I felt really accurate, like 70%+ quite easily. Single pistol only, definitely getting better.
