What watch do you wear?

I've a few Archer straps, really nice quality but I've only had them a few months so not sure on how they will fair over time.
One did get strapped to a gshock and took on holiday, lots of pool water, sea water, sweat, sun lotion and it still looks the same...

I've found the Barton Elite Silicones to be some of the most comfortable straps I've used, and really well designed in terms of one of the keepers being held in place by a nubbin that sits in a hole in the strap.

Not a big fan of the two tone styles as the half/half split at the head end can look rather odd. But they're really rather cheap for the comfort.

Also got a Hirsch James Performance for a GS, that had I paid the full whack for I'd have sent back as it's just not that comfortable, but it may break in. Quality is right up there, but the Barton Elite is far more of a 'forget you're wearing it' level of comfort. The Hirsch Performance wins for dressier styling though.

Oh forgot to say I got this silicone strap recently for the Seiko, good quality and has a locking keeper tab at the end so the tail doesn't stick out: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B092SF1Q3H?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I like this especially because of the holes being so close together, makes small adjustments really comfy in hot to cold weather etc.

What sort of discount can i expect from an AD , i'm after a blue Pelagos , RRP is £4120 , but have seen an unworn 2022 for £3300.
Would an AD just laugh if i asked for 20% off (never actually bought a watch from a shop unless argos counts) , if i could get a shop bought one for £3500 then would prefer that than the 2nd hand one even though that still has 4.5 years of warranty still.

After seeing all the G-Shocks on here I decided to find mine, which i did. Flat battery so ordered some new ones, popped the new one in (including AC reset) and nowt .....

Tried dozens of times and sometimes get "HSET" and "SUB" flash up for a few seconds then fade to black and nothing :(

Any ideas ? is it bricked ?

TIA !

Curious on people’s thoughts.

I currently have a Garmin Fénix 6X Pro. It’s a superb watch but I put off buying the Fénix 7 and now I’ve decided on the new Epix Pro in 51mm casing and the sapphire glass.

I really like the look of the Titanium model with the white strap. Pressed order this afternoon, but just looking at pictures and noticed the side of the watch is white.
With the white strap it looks fine, but I’m now wondering how stupid it’ll look if I ever decide to put another strap on it. Say an Orange or Green.
If it was all titanium coloured it would be a non issue but I’m now second guessing myself.

Casio MDV-106

Finally replaced a cheap Lorus divers watch I bought as a student (25+ years ago) with this! Casio watches are bomb proof and I'm partial to the odd retro Casio and G-Shock.

I am super impressed by the price! It's been discontinued, and its replacement (107) is missing the (cool to me) Marlin logo. So opted to source the older model via Amazon UK from the US store. It was £70 quid all in!
