What watch do you wear?

Someone at the gym had a really cool watch, I was wondering if anyone could help me find it, it looked like a digital casio, but was really big and white and chunky. Anyone know which I'm talking about? Sorry about being so vague!

Yeah probably a Gulfman (casio g-shock). I got the black one :D
I wear mine in the gym but you will have to wear it loose otherwise it will dig in you and bruise.

If I'm after something completely bulletproof for things like extreme sports is it just a case of choosing a G Shock or are there other options?

There is the Timex Iron Man stuff but they are no where near as stylish. there is however a Timex Dive chronograph which is shock resist which I use as a spare (when not using my G-Shock):

Rolex!!!

Thinking of getting my old man a 41mm Justdate with a fluted bezel and the ivory coloured dial. Seem to retail at around £7000.

Can anyone who knows a little more than me about Rolex's let me know what you think in regards to long term depreciation on this model?

I have chosen this model and colour as I know he will like it but id be interested to know how this model will do long term deprecation wise.

Thanks

If it's a gift I struggle to see how it matters?

If you had to sell it the day after buying for rrp I'd imagine it'd take a 2k hit but over time that erodes due to annual price increases.

The point is I think, to get one discounted! Try new turfers

at £7000 I assume you are looking at the half gold Datejust, you want a min 10-15% discount on this which should be easy to get, it depreciates more than most Rolex and will probably drop to 50% of new price pretty quickly
