What watch do you wear?

Very nice! Out of interest where did you buy yours from? There doesn't seem to be very many/any UK stockists.

Creation Watches i'd imagine, based in singapore but very good, despatch very fast and send via priority Fedex included in the price of the watch so you're receive it in 3 days. Also the seller kinda fudges the declaration so you pay no duty.

How long do you find the lume to last? I was thinking about picking one up to alternate with my skx007 for beater duty, but I'd read from several forum posts that it's poor when the two are compared.

I've only worn it a day of course so can update on lume time after a few days but it appears to have a stronger immediate lume than the Seiko but I reckon the Seiko lume lasts longer at a brighter level. The Tissot is the weakest but all 3 are still visible at night if worn throughout the day it would seem. The picture posted earlier was in a dim corner of a walkway using the phone but it gives you an idea of what it's like after some short exposure I guess.

I like that!

I read that the face isn't very scratch resistant which could be a show stopper for work wear with me. I don't exactly have a very physical job, but my eco-drive is looking a little scratched after 10 months of every day wear at work and that has a pretty decent hard wearing face on it.

I have no idea how scratch resistant it is but I can confirm the glass itself is raised above the bezel so the first thing any surface will touch is the glass so I'll have to wear it with caution. I guess the Seiko will be worn most days where I know I'll be moving equipment around at work and whatnot.

Very nice indeed and agreed its a lovely watch for the money. One thing I would recommend is replacing the spring bars, the standard ones are a little weak and the cost of replacing them for £1-2 is worth it over risking them bending and the watch falling off.

I think the Ray which has now replaced the Mako comes with sturdier bars. I wouldn't mind one of those and if they do a run of yellow ones like they did with the Mako then I'll be very tempted.

I wore one every day for six months without a single scratch and recently wore it every day for 2 weeks whilst on holiday, in and out of the sea getting covered in sand etc and again no scratches. Although if needed you can replace the standard mineral crystal for a sapphire one for approx £50.

What bars would you recommend? I won't bother with the glass swap as it's just going to add unnecessary cost to a £104 watch imo but the spring bars is a good shout if the stock ones are weak!

I also want to add just how amazing the PRC 200 looks in any light!

I want to wear that every day but the moment it gets scuffed I'd want to crawl into a corner :p

Edit*
alx, I got it from Amazon, posted the link a bit further up^^ There were 3 left when I ordered and 2 left this morning although the price was £112 so it's gone up. Mine came within a couple of days.

I've recently developed an fragrance and watch addiction / obsession and this thread isn't helping with the latter. That PRC 200 is beautiful. The price is also reasonable; I'm not sure how it is in the flesh but that looks like a watch you'd find in the four figure sum category.

And what model number is that please?

Hi it is the CEM65001B

When I first saw it on the display in store I thought it looked nice but where it really looks nice is in everyday normal lighting inside and out. I'm sure it's the black face colour that does it, makes everything else stand out and look crisp.

Seriously nice photo there!

Thanks!

I'm not a watch person at all but I saw the PRC 200 and had to have it, its such a nice looking watch.

Exact same boat as yourself, well, I wasn't a watch person until recently :)

Mrk you're making me want that Tissot too!

I currently have a Seiko and it keeps time amazingly, never seems to lose a second, I hate having to adjust clocks or watches.

What's the Tissot like? Did you buy it as it is now? Where from?

I like the old Mako (CEM65001B), but prefer the bezel on the new Mako ('Ray' CEM65008B). Typical lol :D.

DIY a bezel on? :D Going by youtube videos these things look simple to work on as well. Have you seen the lume mod and sandblast?

I want lume like that but also need the tools to be able to do it!

If only I was at my old workplace, sandblast would be doable!

I am not sure what you mean by what it's like, I need specifics on what to comment on! But this is what I bought it as:

And the bracelet is what I later bought to replace the leather strap with. The watch was from Leslie Davies on sale at £200 in the new year.

That really is one beautiful watch. If I could afford or justify one I would:D
But I'd be terrified of scratching it

Thanks. :)

Not managed to scratch one yet and Seamasters are rugged. The glass is scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. I suppose the case could get some damage but there is no point in buying a watch if you're going to get worried about a scratch and rarely wear it. Unless you are a collector then buy and wear as the watch is to be enjoyed.

People who are mentioning scratches...

When you are spending this sort of money on watches don't forget that they are incredibly scratch resistant...I wear my Hamilton every day and it gets knocked into things as I'm a complete clutz but it still looks as good as the day I bought it :) - which was back in July.

Shall post some Hamilton Porn for you all later :p
