What watch do you wear?

I am not sure what you mean by what it's like, I need specifics on what to comment on! But this is what I bought it as:

And the bracelet is what I later bought to replace the leather strap with. The watch was from Leslie Davies on sale at £200 in the new year.

I thought I had read about you adding the bracelet, can it be bought with that already on or is it different?

That's a really good price and tbh it also looks really nice with the leather strap, I don't currently have a watch with a leather strap.

People who are mentioning scratches...

When you are spending this sort of money on watches don't forget that they are incredibly scratch resistant...I wear my Hamilton every day and it gets knocked into things as I'm a complete clutz but it still looks as good as the day I bought it :) - which was back in July.

Shall post some Hamilton Porn for you all later :p

Oh I'm not worried about the Tissot glass scratching as it's sapphire, it's the polished stainless steel casing that I'd be bummed about scratching because it will stand out more than a brushed casing (Orient), like how car paint swirls look rubbish in sunlight. Want to keep it shiny :D

You can yep but it costs a bit extra (Around £340) and Tissot has released an updated model as well which a reddit user summed up nicely:

* Doesn't have the "PRC200" and "200m/660ft" (I like)
* The 12, 3 and 9 appear to be in a chunkier font (don't like)
* Smaller numbers in the sub dials (don't like)
* The number in the dial at 6 are all upright (undecided)
* No numbers at 5, 25, 35, 45 & 55 (undecided)
* Date is black on white as opposed to white on black (don't like)
* Shorter minute and hour hands (undecided)
* Squared off minute and hour hands (undecided)
* Shorter lugs
* Different crown

Like him, I prefer the original design but personally like the new style crown.

The stainless steel bracelet is the same though so you can buy it later without issue.

Orient suits purple :)

Damn you mrk, I think you've sold me on that Mako. It looks a cracking watch and auto too for that price.
After researching I prefer the arabic numerals on the old Mako compared to the new Ray.

Now I'm torn between black or blue... blue is winning at the moment!

I've only worn it a day of course so can update on lume time after a few days...

I'll check back in a while, it looks like a really nice watch for the money.

Thanks. :)

Not managed to scratch one yet and Seamasters are rugged. The glass is scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. I suppose the case could get some damage but there is no point in buying a watch if you're going to get worried about a scratch and rarely wear it. Unless you are a collector then buy and wear as the watch is to be enjoyed.
If it were mine I'd never leave the house with it! I just spend all day looking at the movement :D

I've got a 7 year Seiko Arctura kinetic Chrono with a sapphire which has remained pristine, the polished case not so :( But I have noticed a lot of the dearer watches seem to use a brushed finish, I guess that must help reduce the appearance of any light marks.

Hehe not much really, well, Logitech used to send me some stuff in the past but that program has been dying over the last 12 months sadly.

At the moment I'm trying to adjust both bracelets so they're as close a match as possible, this is tedious work! The Tissot one closes on my wrist nicely and has some slack, not too tight but the Orient one closes a bit tighter which is better because it's heavier but I can feel it being more obvious.

I think that if/when the time comes to get a watch of significant value, that will be the time I only really want to wear one watch everywhere.

Had it for a week now and I can't stop looking at it. During the day it spends more time on my desk than wrist. In the evening I spend more time looking at it than I do talking to my wife. She thinks I've gone completely bonkers. :D

Its look changes depending in the way light shines on it. I've never called a watch beautiful but this one is. :)

I'll be taking the Mako swimming with me, making use of the bezel for underwater timing, why not properly make use of a dive watch :D

As such I've also ordered a Zulu Nato Harley (Bond) strap off Amazon for £11. Looking forward to it.

Am I the only person that does not like silver watches?

A lot of these look very impressive, but I just dont think the metallic look is nice.
