£3.5k for a SS TOG 10 years ago ?

a full service should bring it back like new with exception of bracelet stretch

a full service should bring it back like new with exception of bracelet stretch

my bad m8 (late+beer=good memory)...lol

certain it was 2001...and cost £2950 or £3150..also had bracelet changed to oyster.

obviously you are the one that knows but the half gold one was only that sort of money then, Rolex prices have gone up hugely over last 3 or 4 years

the TOG is now about £3800 and the prices have gone up between 60 and 100 % over that period

just got me curious now, I though a DJ at that time was about £1900 and marginally more for the TOG

I ended up getting one of these (Seiko model SNXP15J1). The aim was for a classic design, verging on the anonymous -

I got the same watch but with the black dial (it has a silver second hand not red like that picture) little chunky but sits nicely on my wrist

Yes I tried one on a while back, but had my heart set on the BP at the time.

How about tools required, any recommendation/links? I fancy having a play.
