Maybe, but I can't find an alternative one of the same style for less ...

If you are looking for a chrono and are happy with quartz, Seiko is a very reasonable option and is excellent quality. Below are but a few examples with 6/9/12 subdials - if that is your preference - I have to admit, I favour that layout and bought a chrono a little while ago, just waiting to go and collect when I'm next having treatment in the UK.

The quality of those just doesn't look as good as the Chr Ward.

This is the trouble, as a decent automatic chrono isn't cheap. I think the Lew and Huey Riccardo is probably the best bang for buck as far as automatic chronos go. The logo is hiddious though, not sure what they were thinking?

Agreed. I would also want the black one which I think is sold out.

It's another affordable :p... I like Seiko, have you noticed yet? ;)

Seiko 5 SNZG15 has arrived. I choose it over the SNK809 which I think is just too small for my wrists. I really like the design of this, I can't totally put my finger as to why though..

I imagined it going so well on a NATO bond and I don't think I was too wrong. Some people's idea of whacking a NATO on just about anything leaves me feeling a little sick at times. ;)

^Timefactors NATO, a bit of a fail from them though. They ignored the specified delivery address and delivered to the invoice address. I was starting to wonder if it was lost in the post! They may be able to draw you a dinosaur wearing a watch, but attention to the shipment address would be nice (Maybe next time I'll add that to the comment box!?). :p

Nice NATO though!

Sodding lazy day for someone in packing and shipping then eh :p
My first Seiko 5 was a bit like that, didn't have the two layer dial though, just one layer.

The silver Maratac Nato has not arrived yet, I imagine another week since it's shipping from the USA. I also imagine I'll get unlucky and it will be FedEx delivering it and thus an import tax invoice will be included.

Next time I'm going to ask them to draw me something very special! The good news is that I am no longer a NATO virgin!

I really like this military Seiko, it's so contrasty. I think what also contributes to my thoughts is the fact that it's just nice to get away from a diver.

Maybe I'll settle down one day and only have a few keepers. But right now there is so much fun to be had in owning a collection of affordable pieces. I look at what I currently own and I could sell them all and purchase a single expensive piece, but then I think why!? It's interesting choosing what to wear at the start of each day and matching a piece for each occasion.

I am carefully considering the next move.. a white dial of some kind I think is next. :)
