Yeah it has the Russian feel to it with that particular design Nato, works nicely :D

My silver Maratac has still not arrived, I imagine it's sitting in UK customs as usual. Those people take their sweet time... It's gonna suit the all brushed metal of the watch though.

Now this is a modern classic. The new single push chronograph:

Announcement page.

I think Longines do have some of the classiest designs out there without being too boring or too bling or too common.

I'm going to be keeping an eye on Helson watches over the next few years. Really like their "tool<>watch" designs and they use the newer Miyota movements which by all accounts are as accurate and reliable as the equivalent ETA.

They also have distinct sizes, 40mm, 42mm, 43mm, 45mm...

The attention to the smaller details looks great especially considering the price, the 40mm is under $600 inc shipping.

Specs seem excellent too, 500m, every link is removable on the bracelet, gasket on crown thread, AR coated sapphire.

If my Hydro broke out of warranty then I'd buy one in an instant. The white dial version :p

Edit*
They're sending me one to compare and take photos of! Stock is due in April so that's what it will arrive. It's gonna be a long 8 or so weeks...

I have only just seen this thread as i have not been on here in a while.

I have a small amount of watches, and it will be expanding when funds allow.

I have a,

Samsung Galaxy Gear
Sony Smartwatch2
Swatch Irony (i think its a windfall but that might be wrong)
a red faced fossil watch
a couple of cheap LED ones

and finally

a citizen ecodrive sky hawk titanium AT

I have no idea what will be sent, the 40mm range is available in bronze too and those house the ETA movement, the same as in my Longines. Hopefully it's the Miyota version they send so I can compare the two side by side since they're specced so similarly although the bronze one would be different :p

Would be just your luck to get the ETA movement ;)

Thank God I have Fat Wrists!! :D
Plus as it's 180g... YES! I am wresting my arm on the box! (again heavier than any other watch I own!)

Well worth the £85 (£83 at the moment! ) I paid! I'd even pay the full RRP of £177
