What watch do you wear?

Love it. Would love to own a Rolex :)

How much if you don't mind me asking? :)

Picked it up locally in Glasgow yesterday for £4695 from a Chisholm Hunter associate.

It looks to me mint, they said it was "good" condition :S It should not depre much if at all if I look after it so better than that money sitting in a crappy savings account with little to no interest..... so Im telling myself anyway :D

GMT Master - 1999

First good watch :)

Nice GMT. If you get a bit bored you can easily change the bezel inserts on these for coke/pepsi. GMT prices are crazy right now.

Thanks, Ive seen them but want to keep it in this condition for as long as possible and as much as I tinker with cars, bikes and computers I'll leave well alone here :D

Nice Visodate ReltonBFD, I have not worn mine in a while. I swapped out the brown strap for a black Hirsch strap last year, as I like to match the colour of the strap to the colour of my shoes and belt. I wasn't very impressed with the strap, I believe it was the Hirsch Louisianalook, it just looked odd on the Visodate. I am tempted to purchase the Hirsch Grand Duke instead.. or would be open to any other suggestions for a new strap?

Kinda getting an itch to purchase a new dress watch, I tend to stick to the Cocktail time but often wear my Omega, not a dress watch but I think it works and I am still thoroughly enjoying it.

Shot from this morning, desk diving:

So nice, seriously considering something like this for myself. I know its a bit of a daft question but what is the lume like on these, it's not a deal breaker but I do like a bit of shine at night without having to flash the watch with a torch to "charge" it up.

I have smashed the sapphire glass on my Citizen ecodrive :(

Was sure I say somewhere on here somebody recommend a guy who replaces the glass for reasonable costs but cant find it now.

Anybody got any recommendations of where to send it? It seems there are lots of cowboys out there and would like to keep the water depth resistance etc.

The lume on the whole is pretty good actually, I don't think I've done any testing on it. Will look in the early hours of the morning and let you know.

How'd you manage that? :(

Finally got one in Dubai Mall Rolex. It wasn't on display but they got one to the store within the hour.

It was the same price as UK retail as the pound is still weak but still happy with that. Comes with the 5 year warranty.

I've got some lume shots on my phone if they help, they're not great. Mines the blue version but same watch and same lume.

This is it when charged up in the day time..

This is in the dark right after turning the lights out..

I find that if I go to the cinema or something then it's still decent after a few hours of darkness but if you leave it by the bed at night its more or less gone by the early hours.

Both lovely watches, congrats. The GMT is by far my favourite Rolex, I chose the Planet Ocean over the Submariner but I'd love one of these one day.

Thanks for the lume pics, pretty much made up my mind to get one.......even the wife is telling me to go for it but I'm a terrible buyer, I spend weeks reading reviews etc before buying.

Posts like this make me think that my planet ocean might be faulty...I sit with my watch exposed to light all day albeit office lighting, yet I can't even read the watch when I get into the car at 7pm! It's really way worse than I was expecting

Love it otherwise but the lume is underwhelming unless I've been in really bright light for a while and it's gone in a about fifteen minutes

That's after holding an inch beneath a GU10 led spotlight for 30 seconds... So it can get bright but even a few minutes later that is much dimmer :(

It's a radioactive ingredient that makes it glow isn't it? Or at least in the old Rolex they are. I'm not sure how it can be "defective", the only way it could be different is if they change the chemical composition which translate it being intentional.

How much did you pay? They told me in Abu Dhabi it's 29000 AED which I thought was really cheap

No it's not a tritium lume... They don't even need charging!
