What watch do you wear?

The Seamaster PO's are a little more than just a facelift.... like, a new in-house movement.
Luxury watch designs rarely change much over the years... look at the Rolex Sub; it still looks the same as the one from 1950 :p

Yeah you're right, but I still think that watch is over-priced. Also the GMT hand is too similar to the regular hand to make it immediately distinguishable in all situations. Would be lovely if the bezel numbers were lumed also like my Pelagos.

Actually, one thing I wish my Pelagos had is the different colour lume on the minute hand like the Omegas... that makes things much easier to read at night.

The same can be said for any dive watch as that's their design, they all look like... well, dive watches.

Well after losing £2k on my AT I am in no rush to buy another watch without research. My Bremont has been sent away again to have a pin repaired so I'm currently wearing my Tag which is normally lucky to see daylight. I'm quite liking it actually.

BTW the image you've quoted is broken for me.

You mean 'again' as it's been repaired before? Is that common? these watches are more expensive than rolexes! I see the £10-12k ones at my shooting club, it looks like a LOT of money for that sort of watch?

I paid £3600 or something and love it. The issue with mine (and my housemates Bremont) is that the pins holding the strap to the watch head bend slightly. The first time I sent it in it was the top one, this time it's the bottom one. Mine is two years old now.

Pins bend and can break, just pop to a jewellers they will replace them, Watches of switzerland did mine and the pin literally snapped as they removed it, saved me a large insurance claim!

I know, but it's under warranty and if I send it to the Watch Gallery, they send it on to Bremont and I'll get the watch back polished etc.

How often should it be serviced?

This is what happens, the bottom bit should be tight to the head of the watch.

The Omega Aqua Terra, might possibly be my next Omega, it would have to be either the blue dial or the white dial with those blue hands, got a thing for blue hands!

Shame on the latest ones they've kinda wreaked the date window, it's now a date... hole.

Damn this thread! Been looking for a replacement daily after my cheap fossil one died. Don't like wearing my Longines Hydroconquest for fear of losing it or it getting damaged (have to take it off regularly when at work) so was looking for something fairly inexpensive but after seeing some gorgeous pieces on here that just won't cut it anymore.

What are people's thoughts on the Orient Ray 2 or Mako 2? They look decent value for money and certainly ones I would wear daily and not have to worry about too much. Leaning towards the Ray 2 with a nice brown leather or Nato strap?

Also go my eyes on a Seiko Cocktail but can't seem to find any UK retailers (I know it's JDM) but don't fancy getting stung with customs charges. Definitely one I'm keeping an eye out for.

The Ray and the Mako would make a good daily, they are good value for money, quite an accurate and dependable movement. I have three of them, sadly they don't get any wrist time anymore with the other contenders in my collection.

The Cocktail time is rather special, you will struggle finding a new one in the UK. Try Creationwatches, I've used them a number of times over the years.. yet to be stung. Edit: Scrap that, they've got quite a high current price for the Cocktail.

Look on the bay for the cocktail time, it's a seller which ships from Ireland; highly recommended and cheap.

Any Steinhart Ocean 1 owners about? I'm looking for a new daily driver and really like the look of them.

What are they like to live with?
