What words / phrases don't you like?

"How are you doing" asked with no pause whatsoever for a reply to state that you're on your death bed in hospital with a no resuscitation sign on the bed end, before going on to some vacuous conversation showing their total disinterest in any reply to their initial question, and your actual wellbeing.
 
It generally isn't used correctly as it isn't a word. People don't know the difference between 'irrespective' and 'regardless'.
It's in a dictionary I found online? Is it one of those cases where a nonword becomes a word because of how many people use it?

Pretty much every time I phone my mum as much as love her

"Hi mum hows it going, just calling for a catchup"

"Hello how are you? You wouldn't believe what I've done in the garden, been so busy and sweating buckets, blah blah blah.

Then I pretty much don't say anything for a couple of mins wondering if I made a huge mistake in calling.

Sometimes ill say "Oh I'm fine thanks" but most of the time ill just think it because its more trouble than its worth.
