What's your car's annoying foibles?

the one ridiculous design feature in the civic is the head lamp flasher. If you pull the stalk back to flash the headlamps, it changes from dip to main or back, and as this is purely mechanical you don't know what you're going to get when you turn the lights on. I've annoyed a few people by apparently flashing main beam at them when I was just turning on the lights and quickly moving back to dip.

Ahh yes, it's the same on the Integra. Stupid design.

Front cigarette lighter doesn't work (not that I'm a smoker) but this means I have to charge my phone/sat nav on my rear seat using the 12v socket that's in the boot.

It also squeaks going over most bumps and speed humps although it's just in the garage getting lower suspensions arms, rear bushes and new discs and pads so that should stop the squeak as I think it's the rear bushes that were causing that.

Oh yes just remebered, the electric mirrors - I can switch it to the passenger side and it moves that fine, switch it over to the driver side and it's moves both the drivers and passenger side mirrors at the same time - took me ages to get the lined up the so I could use both - now they're set so I won't touch that again.

One of the lights in the clocks works intermittently and i dont know why.

Half the dash buttons dont backlight properly and i really cba to sort it.

Wheel seems to be slightly offset to the left.

Rear light clusters let water into the boot.

Its low enough so that when horses poop in the road it hits the underside of the car and coats everything in poopy.

Sloppy gearchange due to very worn bushes, last time i was at the garage he thought it was in neutral and it was actually second. :o

Stone chips in paint all over the place and the scratched rear arch were a idiot keyed it. Hard to get the right colour paint too.

Car needs lowered, but I love the current splitter on it, and if I lower it 40mm their will only be 10mm clearance from the front of the splitter.

Sometimes feels a little sluggish randomly, other days its the normal power that makes me grin.

sunroof stops half way when closing it, apparently all celicas do it... why?!

Door card arm rest feels like its made out of carboard when you lean on it.

Headlights are crap.

Its not a GT4.

Handbrake needs sorting out so its not so weedy and the central locking has gone **** up. Lovely.
Also, I swear it must be the only car that isn't a sports car to have no cup holders. Not that it bothers me, but its just odd.

Only thing annoys me is that my R/T has a big metal aerial and it isnt electric.
You have to put it up and down yourself.

No clock and no where to put my phone if I have a passenger.

No clock? Think yourself lucky; I have a clock instead of a rev counter. :p

Oh, and the steering wheel is off-centre, like someone earlier in this thread mentioned.

hand break dont work.. seriously it just dont work and i cba fixing it i put my car into rev and point the wheel towards the curb downhill

Rubbish handbrake and the way it sounds like its got a load of ball bearings stuck in the exhaust when its cold, plus the fact that its still got the hardtop on because of this damned rain.

first gear is stiff to say the least when its cold.
drivers window is one touch down, but not up. passenger side window switch on drivers side has no one touch.
car really backs of in first, and sometimes 2nd gear. no idea what it is yet.
seats are a bit firm on long journeys.

think thats about it.

Westfield:It keeps scraping
Cannot see behind without taking off harnesses
Gearknob is prone to coming off at the most inconvenient times (such as during the final timed run @ a sprint!)

Family Audi estate: It scrapes (even when speedbumps are taken very very slowly)

Mums Clio: It's French

A4: Turning right at 35mph+ makes a grinding noise, turning right under 35mph makes a thud, thud, thud noise from the front-left wheel (could be a wheel bearing..?) - Woefully slow - clutch + gearbox will need replacing in a few months (135k) - Warning for rear brake light comes on every time it rains, light works fine though.

Punto: Everything rattles, and I mean everything! The blown bulb indicator is always on, even know all the bulbs work fine.

Company car to replace the A4 anytime soon hopefully, otherwise its going to cost me ££££ :(

Ticking from the engine tappets, it's not that bad but passengers always ask about it.
Worth using a flushing oil on it at oil change time? That seemed to work well with my tappety k-series.
