What's your "go to" take away order?

Maybe get chinese once a year and always regret it/feel dirty. Maybe the ones near me are crap but its bottom of my list/ultimate trash food in UK guise.
Dont order pizza anymore since getting a pizza oven, home made ones are vastly superior to takeaway. :)

So its generally Turkish, shish kebabs and lamb chops are superb at the local. Recently tried a Japanese place and the sushi and noodles were great.

Some supermarket pizza's are ok for the money and i do buy them from time to time,
but they all come on pre cooked frozen bases that you're just re heating, fresh dough from a good independent place is so much nicer, there's no comparison to me

We've recently been buying the Picolino brand pizzas from Iceland and they're probably the best supermarket pizzas i've had.

Don’t really have a usual as we have way too much choice around here with a variety of cuisines.

Maybe our Indian gets a “usual” order which is butter chicken for my other half, we usually agree on sag paneer as a side then I tend to mix it up.

We have a fantastic Thai cafe about 2mins walk away, 2-3 pizzerias that are really authentically great and an awesome Chinese restaurant too. So it’s easier to nip out and sit in. Takeaway pizza ruins it somewhat, it’s never the same as getting it served hot and crispy to your table.

I felt like supermarket pizzas went downhill a few years ago. The ones that I liked seemed to become a bit limp and tasteless (or maybe my taste buds are dying from old age). I get the occasional pizza from Fireaway (Roma - pepperoni and jalapenos) which isn't too bad, but not as good as a nice authentic Italian pizza. The only other takeaways I get are from McD's from time to time, when I'm super lazy and need a quick meal. I assume we're talking about deliveries as well - not having to move is a large part of the appeal for me...

EDIT: McD's selection of kings - quarter pounder with cheese (no pickles), 6 nuggets and 2 medium fries.

Dominos: large tandoori hot, just for me.

Chinese: beef and green peppers in black bean sauce with chow mein.

When I lived in the West Mids, I loved a chicken tikka massalla from my local Indian. Take away curries up here are a bit meh and I can make far better at home.

I like mixed meats in a takeaway if possible, so its either Special Curry + Fried Rice or a Singapore Chow Mein if its a Chinese. Or a Special Biriyani if its an Indian. Will usually always have a Tarka Dhal + Keema Naan if its an Indian week. Other go to is a simple Donner Meat and Chips. If I had to choose one single animal for meat for the rest of my life, it would be the sheep, mainly for access to Donner Meat.

If I can get past the wife's lazy pizza request then it's Special fried rice with curry sauce or if I'm feeling really unhealthy a big old mixed kebab ;)

Once a month! I wish I could be that good.

We have at least one a week, and depends on our mood but the one we have the most is probably an indian

Prawn Puree starter to share
Lamb Dhansak + Pilau Rice for me
Chicken Tikka Madras + Vegetable rice for my wife
And we share a naan bread - Usually garlic, sometimes just plain.

I often like to have 1 poppadum with my food as well and try and use it to scoop up a mixture of sauce and rice, but they are quite flimsey.

I'd rather treat myself from a supermarket or get an M&S pizza.
it's not like it's much effort to put something in the oven for 18-30 minutes and then put it on a plate

Unless it's done in a proper pizza oven, I don't think it can compare though.

I love the Italian style pizzas, what pizza express would call a 'Romana' base. Pizzas from a shop are ok, but usually the crusts are so thick - Even pizza express own ones that they sell.

I've got a Ooni Pizza oven so we don't tend to order takeaway pizzas.

When i get Nuggets i go for 20 due to the pricing at my local...

90p for 14 extra nuggets and 4 dips... Yes Please :D
Yeah but I live on my own, and there's no way I'm putting away 20 nuggets in one sitting (and they're really not worthy of reheating!).
