What's your "go to" take away order?

McDonalds vegan burger thing. McPlant. Without the "vegan substitute for cheese", which is bad. Or pickles, which even the local rubbish tip gulls won't eat. And with some mustard.

Mainly because I walk past it on the way home from work and after a day at work (up to 13 hours) cooking anything myself is unappealing. McPlant is an OK vegan burger.

There's a local pop up wood fired oven sourdough van that comes here every other week. It's not cheap but the pizzas are amazing.

Pizza will always be my go to since there's no chance of trying to be healthy.

Indian food normally preferred for the occasional take away.

Lamb tikka masala, chicken pakora and popadoms are the default. Madras if I’m feeling up for it.

Second to Indian food would be Chinese which normally consists of:

Chicken and pork fried rice, salt and chilli chicken, salt and chilli chips with a big tub of curry sauce(of course!)

Maybe get chinese once a year and always regret it/feel dirty. Maybe the ones near me are crap but its bottom of my list/ultimate trash food in UK guise.
There are about a dozen chinese takeaways dotted round Bath- I'll only ever use two of them.

I think many of them use the oriental equivalent of Brake Brothers, with pre-packed meals heated and sent out. I've seen one well-respected local takeaway getting a delivery at about 5 in the morning before- pallets of pre-made plastic tubs. Nothing cooked fresh!
The ones that actually do it properly are few and far between...

For pizza: chicken, mushroom & sweetcorn with a cheese stuffed crust or garlic, herb & cheese stuffed crust. Has to be deep pan I can't stand thin ones.

Other than that a Big Mac, large fries and large coke zero. Normally get that every Monday afternoon for lunch, or I'll go with a breakfast option before 11AM: Egg Mcmuffun, 2 hashrowns and a medium coke zero.

This is my Asda pizza counter mantra, every single time. "10 inch thin one please with tomato..... Err Chicken....bacon........peppers.......and chilli cheese please...........erm garlic please...... Thanks". Sometimes I will be a rebel and have one of the other oils, but that is about it.

Wish there’s a Thai takeaway within delivery area.

If I’m staying on a short trip either alone or with a friend- Thai is a must.

Love Thai.
