Do you have a PhD in philology or somesuch? Just asking because it seems quite an interesting job! I'm from the literature side of academia myself (alas I lack formal education in classical languages...) but linguistics and philology is definitely an active interest.

I have a bunch of qualifications in related fields ...and I am working on my PhD at the moment (interdisciplinary). I haven't been at this full-time for that long although I have been studying various subject matter for years.

What do you do?

He was an Egyptologist, but the comparison with regards what I do (without the SG and Action sequences) is fair.

What sort of applications do you test?

Not sure if I already posted, but... i'm in the RAF - it pay's well, awesome pension, good travel opportunities, free uniform/med/dent. Bad bits - can be a bit dangerous at times, and you can be away from family for extended periods.

Currently Business Analyst / Systems Administrator, but in August I am moving to a new company to be a full-time Business Analyst.
