I had a takeaway pizza Sunday night and I went round to the shop to order and collect it as I wasn't happy with the inflated JE prices + service charge & delivery!
I'll always be a money saver
Are you getting a 4090 though?

Hardly even worth winning right? Also it’s not index linked. How much is £10k going to get you in 2050? Remember 30 years ago, £10,000 could bought you a 2 bed terraced property where I lived.
Was gonna say I wondered if sales spiked. People were complaining (not here, just online generally) that the set for life top prize isn't won very often.I bought a set for life ticket online yesterday, inspired by this thread... won nothing!

Did it disappear into the dowie hole?
Nope, but your mum offered me her hole for a scratch card.
Are you getting a 4090 though?
Oh yes & going to build a whole new rig!
Could have bought the bits this past weekend out of my own money but amazingly I've spent nothing since my news last week.
Got to wait for certain that the tickets a winner. I would do the same.
Wouldn’t spend a penny until I knew 100% it was valid and a winner.
Definitely valid & I've even had a copy of the annuity proposal emailed to me yesterday from Camelot's broker ahead of signing on Thursday
Yet I agree, I'll believe it when the money starts hitting my account.
You joke but lotto winners are less likely to have a happily ever after
@LeeUK Congratulations on your winnings, I would highly recommend that you read the comment in this link. It is long but informative

With a set for life I’d probably keep working for a while and use the money to overpay mortgage, pay a pension and use for holidays.
Pretty dull really but I’d imagine feeling more normal and fulfilled that way.
You say that, but the first person to micro manage or give me grief and I'm throwing the table overSame, the first year or two hardly anything would change. But I would retire after the 3rd year
Oh without a doubt, but I'm lucky I'm in a role where my managers are all remote and barely speak to me because I do a decent job, I'm literally my own boss. As long as I'm left alone I'll keep working. But after 6 months I'd say any tolerance for BS is on the floor and I'd walk for the smallest of reasons (although in my job that'll be unlikely)You say that, but the first person to micro manage or give me grief and I'm throwing the table over
