When are you going fully electric?

Ha, I think you’ve landed in your feet with your choice. Get some pics on and a review when you get chance. Enjoy :)
I think you're right !

We went to Chester Audi to look at the Q8 before I offered and there was only 1 at the dealers. They walked us over to it and there was a GT next to it.

"Oooh that's nice!" said the Mrs to which I told her there was no chance given the cost... So very happy :)

Absolutely - I'll get some pics up as soon as it arrives with initial thoughts then a longer term review :)

Saw a Skoda enyaq vrs the other day, looked nice. Reading up on them, only gives full power if battery over 88%, but you mostly only charge to 80%.
Seems a bit of a weird one, though I suspect it's still quite fast.
Just dunno if I should spend 35 odd grand on a car.

That'll be for the all important 0-60 bragging rights... Which means nothing on the road.

I went Tesla a couple of years back, its fine as a car but i'm not a fan of most of the elements that make it Tesla, the big display the vaporware FSB advert the locked down infotainement and lack of physical buttons.

For me it was about the tax break on company cars, saved a boat load over a diesel and the other options were a 9+ month lead so made sense at the time, would do it again but would not promote the car.

So, she's here !

It does look so much nicer in the flesh and certainly has "presence"

Initial impressions are you get a LOT of car form your (admittedly lot) of money, it's going to take a long time to get my head round the options settings and features

HUD is great, very nice indeed and she is **** the bed fast - very different from my (RWD) Tesla and mush more "planted" as you'd expect from a 2.5 ton 4WD 4WS Audi I suppose

Unfortunately work is in the way of playing much more for now but will be more, im sure

Very nice and a proper dash with no screens that look like a afterthought. Is that black or a really dark blue?

It would appear that OHME has finally done the firmware update on their chargers because at last my charger talks to my Leaf and gets the battery state instantly on plug in instead of me having to re-register the car in the OHME app every time I plug it in.

That's so nice. I love Audis (I have had many in my time, A6's , A8, Q3, Q7 and now a Q4), especially their dashboards. They may not be flash and have 15" screens but I just like the way that they work - so much better than the Korean cars we have had (New Sorento and wife's Kona EV).

The only issue I have is that they do not make an avant version of the GT in the same way that they make a Taycan Cross Turismo.

Thanks both, she is lovely and a while since I've had an Audi -A3, A4 Avant, 2 A5s and 2 A6s

Loving it and she is definitely black!

smashing car ... I will say tho,.someone has vandalised your number plates ;)

I echo what others have said about the inside. personally I like a car dash which looks like a car dash and not a fan of the minimalist iPad glued onto the front along with a steering wheel and not much else... so that Audi ticks boxes for me there as well.

Each to their own, I went in hating Tesla but have been far more positive once owning one.. The big screen, constant updates etc are so much better than the id.3 we had previous, and on top of that it’s nit that locked, it’s almost the opposite, companies like enhance auto (I have a s3xy knob/buttons) and having open access to all your own data makes it the least locked.. I even had the android auto box that I tried but found it added nothing and seemingly the inbuilt nav is pretty decent.

It’s far from perfect but for the money these days it still ticks lots of boxes.

Big envy over here! Congrats :)
Thanks - certainly put a smile on my face today :)

Hope you find a way forward soon mate

Thanks - lol they have ! :D

It's absolutely "different" from the Tesla and a completely different experience all around

yes lovely car ... elements of the xj-s in the rear haunches from side, paddles for the gear shift too.

Thanks - really not sure what the paddles are for !?!

@{SAS}TB congrats lovely looking car! Guessing the build quality is step or two up from the Tesla too!

Thanks and yes it is, although the Tesla isnt *that* bad to be fair, certainly not as bad as some as some have reported

Went out picking up / dropping off kids and their other halves and had 3 in the back at one point .... The limited rear view became none existent and with rain and general crud on the rear camera I had to revert to using my mirrors and judgement at one point :o
