When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

There is someone with 100+ 3090 cards which they are selling for £725. They were mined on and some have quite bad cosmetic problems.

They are also selling a bunch of mugs...

I suspect they are abusing a selling fee offer and have placeholder adverts.

They've sold a few cards going back to August, would have been frozen by now if it was scamming.

At least some will be getting a better deal this period (compared to six months ago), I guess that's what new 12GB 3080's are going for but you may value that warranty safety net.

I think I'd go for the 3080Ti you can get new for <£800. The 3090 was very much a mining card with little value to anyone else.

Nvidia probably never dreamed of selling so many 3090s at a price which was higher than the Titan Xp.

Good for dev work or rendering too. This gen they are on separate SKU's so the 80's wont be nowhere near. Availability will be one thing but the price is going to be interesting!

For regular folk its not been worth mining for a long while. Even these larger operations with cheaper energy are panicked, a much needed reset.

Noticed a 1080ti F.E. go for under £200 yesterday on flea bay, (£195) a few months back they were way north of £300.

Hoping this trend continues….

Buyers just need to stick to thier guns, everyone was rinsed before and prices need to be adjusted, if no one buys the price will drop, it might be tough on those who bought high and are trying to sell but if the new cards and more reasonably priced it offsets.

There is most definitely a downward pricing trend with auctions now, 3070's have been in the ~£350 mark as sold items (not just completed) where as a week ago it was over £400 quite easily, there are still a few selling above the £400 mark, maybe colour/model related. Obviously after fee's that means a closer to £310 actual sale, so MM prices won't be too far behind the trend soon. I know some people are burying their heads in the sand and pretending like the price drops aren't happening however.

There will be panic sellers but everyone is assuming they can purchase any 4000 series model that takes their fancy on release. If there is a massive shortage like before the 3000 will hold value again.

They will nearly always sell out at launch, 3090Ti being the outlier because of its ridiculous price/perf for gamers.

It is possible of course Nvidia price the high end 4000 series so high as a means to try and clear out 3000 series inventory... then release better value SKUs as this is the trend now call it the iPhone SE method. That is quite risky though as AMD could make Nvidia look stoopid with their range IF they choose to do so.
