When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

I did say anyone that tried to sell now for cheap is a complete idiot. Look at those 4000 prices LOL! If you see a bargain 3080 on your local gumtree etc, I'd snap it up before they realise.

GPU prices only going up now bro! Bottom is in.
this seems to make sense until you realize they got tons of 3 series cards not selling now. so by putting the prices up. how are they going to sell even better ? they wont. gonna have to cut prices or people wont buy either the 3 series or the 4 series.

so, now that we have some clue on the 40xx cards ... what do we think. I could bag a Zotac 3080TI right now for about £850, on OCuk. I am not sure what to expect at this point, prices wise. Do i expect them to go up or down?
maybe wait for the 4070 Ti at around $900 maybe. I don't really want to pay over £800 for a GPU though.

It feels like I should wait and see.

There is a new 3080ti hardly used on the MM for £650, I would be biting his hand for it if I needed a card.

haha hes a salesman. remember when he said memory and ssd prices were going to go through the roof buy them now ? guess what next week they dropped by nearly half they were the cheapest theyd ever been. :D

You do realise memory and SSD prices are a total YO YO event, so pretty mute to be honest.

Your the one saying £500 3080 10G's new, I am saying it will never happen, so lets see. :)

i dont mind what you do tbh. your in a business to make money. so what you do say is your job. the memory thing was funny as it was literally a week before then all memory and ssds dropped by like half price and have literally stayed like that till even now over a year. :D

Literally no one other than people directly working for Nvidia will know how many GA102 dies they have left to shift into 3080 10GB/12GB/3080 Ti/3090 and 3090Ti (along with workstation) cards. They could end up making a huge number of cards at any point, or perhaps no more at all.

I'd be cautions to say you'll never see a £499 RTX 3080, or a £699 RTX 3090 etc. the simple fact is even a salesman running a components shop can't tell you the future plans of a GPU manufacturer, as they literally don't know and would just be guessing. To make it harder though the $ is very strong right now so while the USA might have $549 RTX 3080's, that would still only be ~£580 here so you'd need to keep those fingers crossed for the crypto miner flood. :)
