Didn’t Gibbo mention they would the other day?

What are original 3080's going for these days?. Really not using mine much gaming wise so might move it on.
Summarise it for me.re-read his post
Possibly ~£400 but maybe not for much longer. Right now on the MM a good deal on your card could still be £400, not sure.
Yep. possibly overly optimistic especially if webuy buy/sell prices drop.Seems a lot for old tech with crippled vram. Only a fool would pay that now.
Ok thanks.Possibly ~£400 but maybe not for much longer. Right now on the MM a good deal on your card could still be £400, not sure.
Well its not like anything new from Nvidia or AMD at the £400 price point even comes close to a 3080.Seems a lot for old tech with crippled vram. Only a fool would pay that now.
Exactly what I did some time ago. I just play less demanding games or turn the settings down a bit now. Not paying silly prices.I still haven't pulled the trigger on my new build because graphics cards are such a mess. I'm half tempted to build it with my GTX 970 for now and hope that prices drop in the next few weeks!
People are disinterested because for new cards you have to spend more to even see a performance upgrade, guessing you didn't buy a 4060ti and instead had to spend a lot more.I was selling my 3060 Ti this weekend and noticed how low the buyer interest is, and how many good deals for older components are actually available.
If you are price sensitive, and a few hundred GBP makes a real difference, just go with previous gen. Combination of AM4 + RTX 3XXX is really cheap, and it will be perfectly fine for a long time.
A few poorly optimized games will have problems, yes. Just don't pre-order and wait for reviews. If it's bad, don't buy it. Boom, problem solved!
No need to overthink it.
This thread probably has run it’s course and gpu prices aren’t coming down so I vote we close this thread!People are disinterested because for new cards you have to spend more to even see a performance upgrade, guessing you didn't buy a 4060ti and instead had to spend a lot more.
Clearly prices are coming down as even newly released cards are seeing almost immediate price cuts as they are not selling. This thread probably has run it’s course and gpu prices aren’t coming down so I vote we close this thread!
Either way we should close this thread now lolClearly prices are coming down as even newly released cards are seeing almost immediate price cuts as they are not selling.
Got my 7900xt for a good deal thanks. Not fussed if it drops another £100 between now and next gen which it will.Clearly prices are coming down as even newly released cards are seeing almost immediate price cuts as they are not selling.
You’ve bought in at a higher price so clearly that’s why you don’t want to see price cuts.
