When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Prices coming down now for sure, although as I expected it's mostly the high end that is seeing the biggest falls, 3090s going for under a grand on ebay whereas the 3080 are typically still around MSRP. If i'd tried a bit harder I reckon I could've got a 3090 for under £900 this morning but I told myself £800+ is still a silly amount of money to be paying for a second hand GPU, it only looks good because the retail prices is so inflated.

With both Nvidia 4000 and AMD 7000 series expected in the next 6 months or sooner I would be waiting if I had £900 to spend

Indeed, the prices only seem good relative to massively inflated prices of the last two years. I'm just sitting on my hands, if I have to pay these prices it will be for a newer much faster card.

I was eyeing that up, then came back later and it had gone! 90 day warranty was putting me off, glad the card is all good. Have you tried to register it with Sapphire?

I picked up a 3060ti FE on Friday anyway which will be more than enough for me until at least the next gen launch, probably longer.

I just successfully registered my B Grade 6800 XT with Gigabyte using the cards serial number and check number on the box, interestingly the serial number on the box does not match the one on the card but the check number from the box was accepted anyhow. I now have a warranty expiry date of 27/05/2025 which is 3 years from my purchase date. I don't know if Gigabyte will honour the warranty if push comes to shove but I feel positive they will do given they have allowed me to register the card and confirmed the warranty is in place. Their only get-out would be that the uploaded invoices has B Grade in the description but I'm not sure that they would actually go as far as checking that.

Nice, tbh as they've accepted the registration I'd be more concerned by the fact the serials don't match, as I assume they'll go by the one on the card if you return it.
However you got a good card at a good price and chances are it will survive the next three years without issue anyway as I said, if you hadn't bought that one there's a good chance I would have!

me now really, not the £900 but if we get a 4080 for £650 that will do.

the current pricing even on the b grade stuff while better is still too high, meanwhile people falling over themselves to claim how great they are Oo like they will get a gold star for paying over the odds.

My last B grade graphics card was a Gigabyte card (reference 780Ti) and at the time the Gigabyte representative on these forums stated that in the case of a warranty claim they would honour the 3 year warranty based on the cards serial number (BTW that card is still going strong in a friends machine). So given that assurance along with the fact that I have been able to register this card for warranty purposes with Gigabyte I feel fairly positive that in the unlikely event I need to raise a warranty claim with Gigabyte I have a strong legal argument that they should in fact honour it. However the risk remains that they won't but it is one I'm willing to take.

because you registered it, can only mean the person who had it before you didnt register it. registering something doesnt automatically entitle you to a warranty, hidden in t&c's there will be multiple exclusions. but fingers crossed for you if something does happen

Yes bearing in mind the FE was $649 MSRP which you'd expect would be lower nearly two years on. I know that's not how it's panned out but I'd be thinking £600 not £800 was a good price. The best you can say about £800 is it's lower than it has been.

its what the 3080 should have been all along, £800 is still snake oil market segmentation but yes good to see price falling further long may that continue

4080 for £650? That sounds just too cheap considering inflation and the current market.

I would expect a price tag of 4080 at £949 and 4090 at £1,800. The would sell out at those prices.

He probably means FE card can't see 4080 FE being £949 when 3080 FE is / was £649 . My guess 4080 FE £700-£750

yeah for the FE, but honestly if they have supply this time i can see the aib cards being a bit more reasonable. depends what the ole butt coins do between now and launch i guess.
