Hi just having a think about MMO, as even with all the issue around them I still prefer them for gaming time.

There a few coming out, and I'm guessing Star citizen is high on a lot of people list, though not for me, not sure why but I just don't feel it when it comes to that game.

Games in the list I like in order of preferences: (Not sure about 2nd and 3rd, as in which I prefer)

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen
Chronicles of Elyria
Camelot Unchained
Revelation online
Bless online

Well if you got any you like to add, please do as I tens to miss the good ones at times :p

Only MMO I still play is Guild Wars 2; looking forward to the next living story chapter, and hopefully the next expansion announcement soon.

camelot unchained, i've been on the test server a few times and its looking promising. Cant wait to get back in to some proper RVR.

Revelation eurghh... what a load of generic ****.

Crowfall
Camelot
Pantheon
Chronicles
Bless - Maybe, I know theyre working on the combat as it was crap.
Dark and Light, not holding my hopes too high for it though.

Interesting see what the Amazon MMO will be like.

Sadly...none now.

For so many years since 1997 and my first MMO (Ultima Online), the genre has been a mainstay for me. But with every passing title the genre dies a little more. I feel that in another 5 or 6 years time the MMO genre will be as good as gone, just a few stalwarts holding it together. Its a genre , which imo, has gone too far in the wrong direction from its original concepts and has lost its way.

My attentions in regard of looking forward to titles and now turned to the online co-op titles rather than MMOs.

I think playing Warcraft so much first 4-5 years really killed off MMO's for me - I just miss the community I was in during those first few years and never managed to find a home since.

Dave you another Camelot Unchained fan then? :D

Camelot Unchained for me if it brings back RVR like we had in DAOC but more up to date then i'll be happy, some of my best gaming moments three way battles in the frontier.

None - sadly modern MMO type games seem to not understand what made the older ones attractive - often lots of style over substance or mechanics that are either artificially overly complex to try and make it look like some skill is involved or just clunky. (EDIT: That or the community is incredibly toxic).

Have to say I've been missing City of Heroes quite a lot lately for some reason - no other game seems to fill that slot quite.

I'm hoping a good 'holy trinity' style MMO is on the horizon. I like playing a specialized healer class, but most MMO's now seem to allow any class to spec any role. Meaning that I don't really have any value as a healer. Any recommendations?

none, although i haven't kept much of an eye out.
but want an x3 style mmo, space based where you build stations etc. Not just fly a ship like elite.

or a modern version of SWG

Spot on, exactly how I feel.

Yes! It would be too good to be true though, you know they would do something to ruin it lol.
