Which MMO is everyone looking forward to

I'm trying my hardest not to go back to WoW. I think the issue is I don't really have the schedule to be able to raid. Whilst I have the time, I can't guarantee when I'll have it.

Unless you're looking to do Mythic raiding or would be one of the main tanks for your raid then I don't think that should be an issue providing you find a guild with the right expectations. I currently raid 1-2 nights a week and thanks to the flexible raid sizes they added in Legion it isn't a huge issue if a couple of people can't make it and 1-2 nights a week is fine for making steady progress in Normal/Heroic raiding, as long as you/your guild isn't expecting more than that.

In great irony my guild is reforming in swtor.

We did go to WoW for a year but it didn't work out.

The game plays considerably easier than swtor which still has comedy requirements to get acceptable FPS with 16m raids.

The challenge in swtor is to get together enough people with good enough hardware to run a bad engine.

Hard to say what I didn't like about WoW, I suspect the feeling of coming into an extremely mature game as a total noob was poisoning things. Also the grinding necessary was really not cool.

That's not helping me :p

When I played Wow, I also really struggled to get into the game, for the very same reasons as you.

The grinding is what I love about games :) Although WoW has got considerably easier over the years even with the addition of heroic, mythic, mythic+ dungeons. Back in the day it was a special feeling to receive a purple.

One of the things I love about the game is not just the lore\backstory of the world, but now I have 12 years of history within the game itself. The people who've played from the start have seen the world and characters all evolve. It's a huge draw. I can see how it would be off putting for someone who came in fresh. I still think it's accessible though.
