Sorry I meant link the overly massive image

Though thanks for that link as without it that image is pretty subjective
A source gave us this information and has been verified with a second source. We've been told that many GameStop locations weren't close to fulfilling their PS4 preorders due to a high allocation count. One store was cited to have initially 24 PS4's allocated for preorders, which then increased to 138 systems throughout the week. Currently that location has 66 preorders for the PS4. In contrast with the Xbox One, there's 12 preoders with an allocation of 18.

ps3ud0

This is being sent around GameStop in the US:

Looks like the yield issues are going to hurt microsoft badly. They have been told nationwide to stop accepting XB1 orders the small amount they are expecting has already gone, and PS4 has an unlimited supply available! Sony are going to have to churn these things out an an incredible rate!

I hope it won't be the case and i really hope Sony will have the stock, but this sort of thing has always bite people in the ass. And end up with bad press

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/security/382570/skype-accused-of-making-call-snooping-easier

Skype has been accused of setting up a secret, internal project exploring how to let intelligence agencies monitor VoIP calls while staying within the bounds of the law.

Just a handful of employees were aware of the program, known as Project Chess, which was set up years before Microsoft bought the company for $8.5 billion in 2011, according to sources speaking to the New York Times.

If true, the allegations mean that Skype was already looking at ways to listen in on users' calls long before the controversial National Security Agency data-collection program, Prism, was in place.

It's great that Sony allow you to remove this spy software. Unfortunately with XBone Microsoft will not allow you to do as such. In fact you have to keep the spy camera attached to the console for it to operate.

No thanks

So Skype is not a removable app on the Xbox? And it's always running? and this spy programme you quoted is fully operating?

I better remove it from my PC as well......

I'm still torn between the two. I'm sure eventually I'll buy both, but initially that's too much money to spend on games consoles. The XO launch line-up looks more interesting - I liked the look of Ryse, Forza 5, and Dead Rising 3 in particular. Also, I've invested a lot more time in the 360 and I like the idea of being able to retain my achievements, gamer score, etc.

The other big thing is the controllers. I never got on with the DS3 controller, I simply don't like the placement of the analog sticks, and I find it a bit small to hold compared to the 360 controller. In all honesty, the combination of what seems like a better launch lineup, an ecosystem I have already invested time in, and a controller I prefer more than likely means that my launch purchase will be the XO. I'll then wait until a big exclusive comes out on the PS4 to purchase it (I'm looking at you Naughty Dog/Quantic Dreams).

Well the camera / voice commands are always running, Skype is also a central product on the XBox One.... Read the article yourself, doesnt bode well given revelations of last week along with the recently dropped features.

Do what you want, not sure why your acting buthurt about it. If you want your privacy respected then sure go ahead and remove it from your PC.

I'm sorry, but referring to it as a spy camera is just really childish. How many times do you have to be told it can be turned off completely?

Have you ever googled your username here? Just wondering as you seem very privacy concerned.

I hope you are able to differentiate from an online profile from having an always listening always on camera in your living room?

Anyhow if this is not an issue for you, why are you wasting your time discussing it? I simply posted an article which was regarding a revalation discovered today, which has an effect on the XBone. Seems like you are some crazed fanboy/public defender?

wont buy ps4 for a fair few months....will buy a cheap ps3 and games though (m8 has lent me his ps3 atm)

Also wont pay 50 quid for a game if the ps4 games retail at that price (or thereabouts)

Can i unplug it?

It's hadly making a massive jump calling it a spy camera, given MS's involment in PRISM along with todays revalations that MS itself has been working on way to allow them to monitor all communications on Skype and to allow direct access to spy agencies to Skype.

Your article said the snooping programme was before MS bought Skype? So how do you leap to MS are still working on it?

Guess you didn't read then
Skype was accused last year of altering its architecture to give agencies better access to its users’ communications at Microsoft’s behest, which it denied.

The firm moved its "supernodes" - directories which find the correct recipient for calls - into Microsoft's data centres last year. It was speculated that this would give intelligence agencies easier access to call data.
