Both for me, although I have to say on balance the PS4 cost wise is more attractive, however I think the Xbox One has better launch games.

I've got a feeling Sony may not have necessarily shown everything that they have at this point, I think GamesCom will show us a bit more... Well I'm hoping so anyway! :p

Xbox one needs to be priced lower than the PS4 for me personally.
I'm not sure which I'll buy first yet, I want the Xbox one, but not at that price.

Even though Microsoft have (thankfully) gone back on their original proposed 'improvements', they have nearly lost me as a customer, just due to the fact that at E3 they couldn't have cared less about gaming but more about it's TV functionality. It's a GAMES CONSOLE.

E3 they literally only showed games

i haven't been this interested in a console since the snes.

could i build/buy a pc system for £350 that would perform as well for gaming as a ps4?

I've got a PS4 on pre-order and can't wait, big fan of PS+ and Sony exclusives, it's great I'll get free games for one subscription fee for my Vita, PS3 and PS4 almost feel I'm duty bound to buy the PS4!!!

Lately I've been thinking of getting a XBONE as well but will probably wait till it's £350'ish

i didn't think so.

i gawked at the £350 price tag when it was announced but when you look at what one would be getting, it is good value for money. although obviously not as versatile as a pc it's certainly got my attention like no other console has for over 2 decades.

Nope, but if you're going to make that argument you need to factor in the more expensive console games.

Due to the horrible reception Xbox got at E3 all my friends switched from Xbox fan boys to now getting the PS4, always prefered Playstation myself purely because the annual sub for online ****es me off.

I'm stunned at even how even a small amount of people are still sided to XB1.

£75 extra for quite a substantially inferior console.

Such a big difference this time around, the PS4 having 50% more compute units and twice the pixel fillrate. Imagine the extra physics and post processing effects they can do. It's either going to be a locked framerate with PS4 having better draw distances / post effects or both consoles having the same effects / quality and the PS4 having at least a 10fps advantage.

The difference is that great this time around. You can't argue that the same was said with the PS3 / 360 as the architectures were completely different. This time its apples and apples.
