Davey fancy resetting the poll after Microsoft's next Xbox One event thingy ma bob?
If there is a big enough announcement that is making enough people change their minds, I'll reset it. As it stands though I think it'll only be a handful of people who may switch, from either console to the other. I can't see Sony doing anything to pull more Xbox users away than they already have done, and I think nothing short of a £50 price reduction, or a Kinect-less SKU, will draw people from PS4 to Xbox One.

I'm stunned at even how even a small amount of people are still sided to XB1.

£75 extra for quite a substantially inferior console .

Because a lot of people, myself included, prefer the Xbox exclusives that are coming out.

I take issue with the "substantially inferior" part as well. Yes, on paper the PS4 is quite a bit more powerful, and as they use very similar architectures this time, that extra power should be more noticeable. However, until we've seen real life performance data from released games, no-one can know for sure how much inferior the Xbox will be. People have said that the PS4 is 50% more powerful, but I will be amazed if the real life performance difference is anywhere near that much, certainly not on cross platform games anyway.

I honestly don't think we'll see the full effects of the hardware difference for a couple of years anyway, as developers generally need time to get to know the hardware well enough to use all of its power. Just look at the difference between the games at the start of this gen compared to what we're seeing now.

The Sony developers have done a better job of the internals, that's for damn sure. The fact that the Xbox still comes with an external PSU is laughable to be honest given how big the damn thing is. I have to agree with Davey, the launch titles go to MS for me personally... DR3 and FM5 look very good indeed. Not sure they are worth £425 to play them though.

I preordered the PS4 the day after E3 but I'm now starting to lean towards the Xbone due to the changes they have made and Forza 5 looks incredible.

XBone.

I want something that's more media centric anyway, so it has that on it's side. I also actually like the integration of the Kinect as well, so whilst many are seeing it as a negative, personally I see it as a positive. I've found over the past few years that the most popular 'party' consoles tend to be the Xbox first, then the Wii, both because the kinect/wiimote adds some fun into it. If I got a PS4, I'd end up buying a eye anyway, and the lack of integration of the Eye makes me concerned about how well developers will put the effort in.

Finally, I was reassured the other day that Forza > Gran Turismo now a days (given that if I want a full sim I have a PC and wheel upstairs, I want something more arcadey in that sense), and finally, Halo intrigues me as an exclusive over other things PS over. Other games that I'll be interested in, Madden 25, ESO - depends how mods work on PC, as I may go with that instead, GTA5, are likely to be available on both consoles.

Yes, and when they announce a console, how dare they decide to focus on the features of that console! ;)

It clearly wasn't an approach that was well-received by the public or the press though. It'd be like Ferrari announcing a new car and devoting the entire reveal to the heated seats.

That's a little different. IMO MS did what I expected them to with the announcement, which was to focus on the features of the console. That was fine with me. What wasn't fine was how US-centric it was in regards to those features, leaving us European customers wondering how the media side of things will work here. Some game announcements would've been nice, but they knew E3 was just around the corner so chose to leave that until then.

Have i really just seen someone ask for a new POLL because of a headset being included in the box lol...

I agree. Make a new poll... The addition of the mic is a real game changer.....

On a serious note, I've decided to pass on getting the ps4 within the launch period. Think I'll wait till Jan/Feb time when a few more games have been released.

I'm confident the new GTA and GT6 games will keep me busy until then!

Im thinking the same lines too, more that Ive probably got easily a years worth of games still to play, it all hinges on if we can get access to PS4 PS+ via the website/PS3 as it might be an idea to get all the new PS4 games while I finish off with this generation. No real reason to hold off for a price cut as I doubt we will see that anytime soon (2015 at earliest?)

Least when I get the PS4 Ill have the PS+ backcatalogue to start off with...

Im just going to purchase the PS4 on release mainly because i cant wait, but i dont see it being reduced in price for a couple of years, the only money saving that is possible after a few months would be in bundles. You may get a crappy game thrown in, nothing worth waiting for.
