Im just going to purchase the PS4 on release mainly because i cant wait, but i dont see it being reduced in price for a couple of years, the only money saving that is possible after a few months would be in bundles. You may get a crappy game thrown in, nothing worth waiting for.

What about the PS4 + Vita bundle that was mentioned, looks like a pretty decent deal, if you haven't got a Vita already mind.

Always been a xbox fan. But I just can't spend that sorta money on a inferior machine compared to a cheaper console. Ps4 this time.

On a serious note, I've decided to pass on getting the ps4 within the launch period. Think I'll wait till Jan/Feb time when a few more games have been released.

I'm confident the new GTA and GT6 games will keep me busy until then!

yes this is what im considering, mind you for me the only difference between me buy at launch and jan/feb will be the months inbetween so whats the point? its not likeit will be any cheaper, might aswell have it sooner than later right...actually if i buy in jan feb at least i would avoid any cockups in manufacturing and maybe they will be different model version then

Nothing to do with saving monies/trying to get it cheaper. I just don't believe they'll be a huge array of decent games available during the launch period. Same goes for the X1.

I'll sit tight for now and join the party when more games become available.

For me on the Xbox One I have 6 games pre-ordered for launch, which is easily the most out of any console release I can remember. You not interested in titles like Watch Dogs, Battlefield, Fifa, plus the console exclusives of your choice?

Watch Dogs yes. Fifa and battlefield probably not. Nothing, apart from maybe watchdogs is really getting me excited. I'm just not confident the games will live up to the hype... Just the same old rushed launch type games.

The only games on my radar is GTA and GT6.

Feelings may change after playing a demo or two... Who knows.

Always been a Playstation man but going for XBox this time around I think. Technical differences between the 2 machines is a moot point, they'll perform the same games-wise but I like the way the XBox seems to be very media focused, that's the most important thing for me for a box that's connected to my telly. I've got a very capable PC for gaming so a decent media hub is the enticing thing.

Also been using the 360 controller on my PC for a while now and love it. The PS3 one is cack in comparison so that's another thing that's swaying me, doesn't look like the PS4 controller is going to be much better.

PS4 Or Xbox One, Which Is More Powerful ?

I know that spec wise they are both pretty close but I read a while ago that the PS4 has a slightly better GPU even with Xbox One's latest GPU tweak of 50 MHZ, Quote from extremetechs page -

Now I am not a console fan boy in any way, In fact they bore me as I love to tinker BUT my girlfriend wants one of them but she wants the better specced one.
So going off specs only and not software, Is the PS4 looking like the superior one ?

Isnt it just the memory that has different specs? And theyre not that far apart in comparison?

Im more worried about how the xbox is going to cope with running multiple operating systems in order to switch between all its functions on the fly. Surely thats got to have some performance hit somewhere.

Going purely off the specs, the PS4 is the more powerful console, undoubtedly.

Is it a superior console? That depends on the games you like and what exclusives you like the look of the most, and that's purely a personal decision each gamer had to make.
