I was thinking more of the actual action of throwing could be done very neatly on a touchpad, especially as you wouldnt have to be looking in that exact direction...

Although i think the console sales will be a lot closer now, im still shocked that on Amazon UK the PS4 is 8th and Xbox One is 62nd... sounds more than a small gap (i know thats only the one store) on the Amazon US store the Xbox One is 44th and still available to pre-order and the PS4 isnt even in the rankings anymore but its unavailable to order so maybe thats why its not showing in the rankings..

Are you sure you're not looking at like the weekly charts or something. I know when I've seen they've both at least been in like the top 5 or 10
All comes down to the controller for me. Both consoles and line ups look strong. Sounds illy, but I have both 360/ps3 and I used the 360 for gaming for longer, then eventually moved over to the PS3 for blu-ray and big hitters like Last of Us.
I get along better with the 360 controller for shooters and driving games, which is mostly what I play.

yeah im sure have a look yourself - Gaming then best sellers. Its a all time thing, signifcant difference in terms of sales and Amazon are likely to sell the most.

I really like xbox controller compared with ps3, but saying that, Ps4 looks much much better, i feels like they are for supporting the players.

I'm not planning to get the PS4 at launch but to me it's selling cheap compared to the PS3 at launch mainly going to wait for some good games packs deals with console.
Seeing as the PS4 definately has superior hardware (gfx has more shaders and DDR5 ram as opposed to DD3 along with a higher clocked CPU - 2Ghz v's 1.6Ghz on the xbone) - does this mean that games will run smoother on the PS4?
One thing that really pee's me off about console gaming is how the games often judder in comparison to a PC
Just thinking about the current gen, as the xbox seemed to be the main console to code for - games were then just 'ported' to the PS4. Obviously it had a different CPU etc (Cell processor) and whilst it was technically superior we saw 0 gains due to the ports.
My thinking is the PS4's superior hardware and the fact its all x86 based will make it software similar to the current PC stuff - whereby extra shaders etc, benefit the game without extra coding..
I'm still pro-PS4 at the moment, but I can't help but feel the Xbone will get the better games

There's no way of knowing right now. More power would tend to translate to better overall framerates, effects and visuals, but there's no clear indication so far of what the difference in power actually is, plus you have to take into account that both consoles have different features and of course development tools which will influence things either way.
Man these next gen games better be 1080p instead of that 720p tosh we're getting these days!
I know 4K ain't going to be possible - hell my 670GTX struggles with 60fps @ 1440p, let alone the crap gfx in these new consoles! - but surely 1080p aint too much to ask for is it?

That's kind of my feeling as well. The xbox line-up definitely looks better at the moment.
Also, despite being behind in terms of graphics hardware I think that the Kinect, smartglass apps, and Microsoft's cloud/online services might give them the edge in the long run.
