Its too complicated TBH. I’m sorry but it’s just easier with Sony’s idea. You buy a game, and you want to get rid of it. Well do just that, sell it on. Want your friends to play it, erm do that as well, not on your friends or family list for lending games, what list? There is no list for this type of thing for a PS4. You’ve got your PSN friends, but on your list or not, they can play your games.
What MS have done is complicated and caused a bit of a stir.
Oh and Sony saying leave DRM to publishers. Fine, as you don’t have to authenticate single player, and if PS+ doesn’t cover online as its got a pass, again fine. Its simple to understand. You buy a second hand PS4 game, if it needs a pass to play online then simply buy one. If not, then even better, but very least you can play the single player.
Game rentals will be simpler with PS4.
No matter which way you look at it, MS have made a bit of a mistake, either communication or lack of it, or even trying to mask what is basically a draconian way for console gamers to share their games, its still a mistake.
Sony made it simple, hence they have get a better reception.
