I think it's pretty poor that if you buy a Xbox1 in a supported country then happen to travel or live for a while in an unsupported country your entire console stops working...

Supported countries (The only places the Xbox One will work):
Australia
Austria
Belgium
Brazil
Canada
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Ireland
Italy

Sweden
Switzerland
United Kingdom

You posted that pic in the PS4 thread, this is why I don't like numerous threads because people just copy and paste the same content.

I can replace the pic with a list of the countries if you like? It was just easier. If you read what was actually written in the posts you would see both are making completely different valid and important points (If you buy an Xbox one beware you can't take it anywhere except one of the valid countries or it will stop working).

edit: Fixed it.

I don't mind what it is I just want want content separate otherwise we may as well just have one massive thread for all this stuff.

I guess we've hit the 'actively looking for problems' part of the journey here then?

The 'proof' is two answers to two questions that are different (but related to) the one you posed, and even then the answer isn't as clear cut as you inferred. If you were a journalist, The Mirror would be proud to have you.

I guess that they've realised that they won't succeed in Japan :p I also saw on TotalBiscuit's twitter that 9 of his top 25 demographic of subscribers/viewers are unsupported by the XBONE

The key word here is 'launch'.

Ever heard of a staggered launch where stock is unevenly allocated? Here's an example:

I generally game on my PC but get a console for the forzas and GTs, GTAs RDRs etc. I recently got a PS3 so I could play the PS3 exclusives and I'm impressed with it.

Anyway I want a console that plays games as its primary function and is at least some chance of being able to buy the games used a few years later. PS4 for me.

Glorious PC gaming master race here, so I won't be buying anything at launch and hoping for better ports. Though the PS4 has interested me, and I may buy after a year or so.

This

The Xbox One just seems like a massive faff. The one thing i still like about consoles is their lack of DRM and ease of use compared with PC's (even though my PS3 is only really used as a blu-ray player now). The Xbox One just throws that out of the window. Looks like more of a pain to use than a PC.....but without all the advantages playing on a PC has.

Also, did i read correctly that all Xbox One games have to be put on its hard drive?? If so, i assume it is a mechanical hard drive so loading times will be pap (compared with a modern pc with a SSD)?

Im expecting Microsoft to make some big changes just judging by this poll in this forum, i think the poll will give the general jist of what everyone else is thinking and what they will be purchasing. If Microsoft arn't to stubborn to switch things up thats the only way they may be able to claw some customers back, personally though i dont see them getting it back now.

Wow, Japan isn't a launch country - I'm really surprised by that. I know MS aren't particularly successful there, but it's a massive gaming market!

They are skipping the whole of Asia at first, not just Japan. The XB and 360 sales were so poor in Japan that at this point it's probably not even worth them bothering with it
