Which size monitor do people use?

Only place i can have the PC is on the kitchen table ...
That sounds kind of weird, but okay. Let's leave it at that, and move on. :D

So, it will come to the kitchen, from a 3ft viewing distance, and it will apparently become a part of your main rig. And at some point, it will potentially be attached to a mounting arm, so VESA holes should be included.

I would say you should be fine for a 27" with a 1920x1080 resolution. Check the BenQ GW2760HS:

It's becoming quite old (2013), so there might be other models that have superseded this. But at one point, this was the monitor I always recommended, and I never heard anyone come back complaining.

- 27"
- 1920x1080
- VA
- flicker-free backlight
- D-sub, DVI-D and HDMI
- VESA 100mmx100mm mounting
- built-in speakers (though I wouldn't expect any spectacular performance)
- £180

Ps. Sorry, I don't have any recommendations for 24" monitors...

Here i have a 27inch Asus PB278Q 2560x1440, likely won't upgrade until 34inch curved ips 144hz with Freesync becomes available or may just get a Rfit instead when they come out with the consumer version.

How the hell do people use 32 inch monitors on a desk, i sit over 1.5m from my 32 inch TV and even that feels a bit close for my eyes.

Oh and 24 inch for me perfect size for my needs.

24 or 27 seems like the right size guys. Choosing the right model is difficult as i have not bought a Monitor for years! The 24" i linked to seems very good though but i would appreciate any advice.

I just got a 32" VA monitor. A monitor this size was not on my checklist but I'd had two bad 27" IPS monitors in a row (horrible IPS glow) and wanted to try a VA panel instead and the BenQ BL3200 seemed pretty good. But I was concerned about the size.
It is bigger than I need especially as I sit barely 2 feet from the screen - but it's lovely. And I'm starting to get used to it.
Only problem was that the sheer size of whiteness on many websites was fatiguing my eyes, even with brightness turned way down to 20. But I've installed f.lux to control the colour temperature and all seems well!

Then I would stick with 1080p but if gaming go 144hz. Cause it will be a long while till your gona run 12k"s worth of monitors at any sort of decent settings at the end of the day your have a massive screen in surround, eyefinity running at 75% of 4k.

Triple 2560x1440 isn't 12K. Triple 3840x2160 isn't even 12K.
