WHICH Z370 MOTHERBOARD ARE YOU CHOOSING AND WHY?

Went with a I5 8600k and a Auros Ultra Gaming, Overclocks to 4.7 out of the box and I have managed to get it to 4.9 stable, any higher it starts to have issues. Nice board has everything I want and no drama.

Have to agree, I have the same combination of 8600K and Gigabyte Z370 Ultra Gaming. I have managed 4.8 out of the box (all other settings auto except 48). Have not gone higher yet as I need help on the best settings in terms of Vcore ofset or not etc. Currently the Vcore has never gone above 1.284v so I am sure I have room to play with. Absolutly no problems on the XMP settings as it ran my Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz immediatly with no problems. Temps have been good as well with idles at 25 to 30 degrees and Prime95/Real Bench in the mid 60 degrees at load...I am running a tripple AIO though...I have also loaded up the F6 Bios and no issues or problems so far. Some reviews mentioned the the VRM Mosfet temps but again, no issues even under load. Bottom line, simple, straightforward motherboard.

Signal11th, any help on your best Bios settings would be appreciated...

With my i5 8600k and the Gaming 7 z370 I've managed to get to 4.7GHz with a Vcore of 1.28V, but trying to get to 5.0GHz meant I was up in the 1.35V range which then seemed to produce a huge amount of heat, and I wasn't able to get Prime95 to run at 100% on all 6 cores.

Sorry mate only just seen this, let me have a look tonight (if I remember).

I went with a Z270-I Strix and I regret it, it just feels low end, infact the M-Atx and ITX ROG boards have felt mid range the last two chipsets (z270 and z370). They're nothing like the Maximus boards in ITX and M-ATX.

Infact I think Asus have watered down the ROG line too much, there only used to be a few boards, and they were all high end, now they slap the name on any old thing lol. ROG now is the equivalent of S-line and M-Sport lol, aside from the few hardcore boards.

Anyway I'm tempted to order the itx Fatal1ty. I've never owned Asrock as they were always the budget brand when owned by Asus but I'm constntly reading good things and they seem to provide solid performance with their Taichi boards, and ITX boards everywhere.

Anyone who has the Gigabyte Auros Gaming 7, how do I enable USB charging when the computer is off? I'm used to having this feature with ASUS boards but this is my first Gigabyte. Would like to have my phone charging capability still if this is possible?

Is there a setting in the BIOS or additional software required?
