Who are you voting for on Thursday?

Have you? I said scroungers of any description, one could then make a reasonable assumption that it included our indiginous scroungers... UKIP are one of the worst for expenses claims, their top guy is pro-european and claimed over 2 million over six years! Get my vote, I think not!

Yeah, but the BNP think that everybody who isn't white and British are bad, so why did you vote for them if they obviously conflict with your views!?

To digress from this whole race/BNP row for a moment (this is after all the voting thread not the BNP thread :p)...

BBC News said:
The elections watchdog has asked polling staff not to fold European election ballot papers, amid complaints part of the list was hidden from view.
The Electoral Commission sent out an alert after UKIP said parties at the bottom of the alphabetical list were hidden when the first fold was opened.
A number of voters, mainly from the Yorkshire and the Humber region, have contacted the BBC about the problem.
Sauce.

Now, is it just me who that tickled? BNP is top of the list on the (alphabetical) ballot paper, and most of the complainers were from a pretty heavy 'ethnic-orientated' area? :p

No racism/offence/malice intended, it just made me giggle. Oh and yeah, I see ironing. I realise that this post about ballots actually had a race/BNP slant put on it for the lulz. If you can't beat 'em... :p

But seriously, what a fuss over nothing. I certainly didn't vote because I saw BNP first or whatever, and my ballot paper was pre-folded for my convenience. I voted for the candidate and party I felt would best represent my interests at the European level. Anyone who DID put a X in one of the top three boxes just because they saw them first or didn't think to open the other flap(s) on the ballot slip doesn't deserve to vote, tbh. In fact, at that level of intellect, I'd be surprised if they could even manage to scrawl the X - they'd have to be pretty specialist people! :D

I dont get it. If people wana vote BNP. Let them. No one is stopping them. Wether people are just voting for the fun of it today to make a statement or any other reason... Let them.
I getting sick and tired listning to all these BNP utter crap.

Even though i am against BNP. I dont give a flying monkey if any BNP mp/member gets elected. Because it dont make a diffrence if BNP, Lab.Tory or who ever gets elected.

Every MP in this country needs to be shot dead.

European - Green Party, protest vote

Great, so because you protest against the other party's you vote for a party of retards, they are the prime example of idiots who send new pathetic environment rules from Brussels to EU member states.

I just don't get it, you disagree with normal party's so you vote for an anti capitalistic, anti current lifestyle, anti breathing ( because breathing means CO2 and they want to reduce the CO2 output by 85%), pro treehugging and animal saving bunch of people ? They are bigger scum than racists, because while racists only target a small group, these radicals want to change the ways of living of the majority....

Just voted and spent the last hour chatting to a conservative counsellor, which was very interesting.

Unfortunately, my brother and dad have both voted BNP.

Honestly, you have no idea what it's like trying to explain to them why that is so stupid. My dad actually likes the fact they're a racist party.

All I can say is thank **** that there are enough people with a brain between their ears to stop these idiots ever getting into power.

It's better than voting for the other "protest vote" that seems to be doing the rounds. BNscummyP

I cant believe the amount of stickers I've seen in peoples windows this time around :(

Just imagine though...Would we suddenly be not allowed to drive our cars over ten miles a day or something :p

I'd emigrate IMMEDIATELY, I don't care if I'll be a poor **** elsewhere, at least I'll be able to drive my motor freely.

Their loss for scaring away higher educated people who want to live nicely and let the remaining ''green'' people collapse the economy...

People are fed up I guess, and they're the only party who want to do something about the issues some people obviously have I guess.

It was UKIP voters who complained, read your own article!

Hehe true.

You live in the Netherlands though? I'd sooner rather be there than this lovely ol' place.

I don't motoring is more expensive here. Games are far more expensive here. Actually, all consumer goods are more expensive due to higher VAT.
I'm actually considering moving to the UK after my study

But I hope I some day make it to the US some way.

I'm just tired of ultra left wing Radicals and Socialists, and unfortunately, Europe is full of em.

Then don't vote at all.

What did the Conservatives or Liberal Democrats do in the UK to deserve the bashing they get atm ?

Apart from the fact where the article, which I did read, said "A number of voters, mainly from the Yorkshire and the Humber region, have contacted the BBC about the problem." you mean?

Jeez, I was making light. Chill :p :D

UKIP said:
UKIP is being inundated with calls from voters complaining that UKIP is not on the ballot paper.

Voting has only been going on for three hours and already hundreds are calling the UK Independence Party to complain that they were not able to vote for the party.

The problem is that Returning Officers have been folding the ballot papers. They have been folding them so that the last two, three or four parties in alphabetical order are hidden when the first fold of the paper is opened. It thus appears that UKIP is not on the ballot paper.

UKIP has already contacted both the Electoral Commission and the Returning Officers on this matter.

But it is important that the news gets out: that voters must make sure they completely unfold the ballot paper. And that Returning Officers and electoral officials must stop folding the ballot papers.

We have had reports from Carlisle, from York, from Hampshire, Dartford and other places, showing that the problem is nationwide, not just an isolated incident.

UKIP is collecting the names and addresses of those complaining and will be preparing the grounds for a legal challenge to the election result.

I think they're saying their voters are too thick to unfold a piece of paper.

I wonder how these people managed to find the polling station unaided. In fact I wonder how they manage to dress themselves in the morning.

Erm expenses fraud perchance?

So ban the persons who did it, continue to vote for the people of which you agree in terms of Politics. I would only ever vote for a party that has likewise ideas how to run the country, if they'd do something against the law, simply trial the culprits and new people will take their place, it's not hard.

Don't protest vote for a party like the green party which has ideas that would absolutely ruin the country and current ways of living.

This whole parliament is rotten, all the MPs are tainted and hence all the main parties will take a battering. The Tories will 'win' but the public is angry, furious with all of them.

I didn't :p

You don't try the persons in question then ?

No need to be mad at person A just because person B did something silly and happens to be in the same party ?

They may still share your ideas about how to run a country.
