My MK6 ST goes in the morning, got a bit more money than mentioned above but these things are worthless now, nevermind, onwards and upwards after a little break from hot hatches

I have read that over 10 times and i still have not got a clue what you are talking about? 
I bought a ST a while back, fixed it up and sold it on. Mrs really wanted it but being white, i wanted to sell it on due to the premium on them.
Went to look at a blue one yesterday for her. Guy said it was a perfect example, runs like a dream.
Straight away i roll up to his driveway and the car is covered in thick mud.... Right ok, he lives in the middle of nowhere so ill see past that for now. Take it for a test drive, before i even got off the driveway the car made a massive metallic "clunk".
I get out and inspect it. Coil spring was fractured, wheel bearing/Hub was on its last legs (could literally moved the wheel in and out by about 1cm each way) and to top it off i then noticed the wheels are 90% corroded once i scraped some mud off of them.
Some people really just do not care do they lol... Feel for the poor buggers who fall for these kind of sales.

We have got another ST to join the family
was up for 3k, got him down to £2.5k. (its my charm )
2007, 3 owners (last owner 4 years), 80k miles, service history, 12 months MOT, 4 new tyres (cheapo's though), 4 new centre caps and fully HPI clear. Absolute bargain, normally go for around £3.5k+ at this age and condition.

One of the seat tilt handles was snapped.
Got a new one. Followed a step by step guide which was about 4 simple steps... Broke it. realised after breaking it i was given a RH rather than a LH (didn't know there was a LH and RH part).
Seat now has no tilt handle at all. One way to waste £25...

The car spends 95% of its driving doing 10mph under the speed limit, being driven like a daisy by the mrs. Don't think upgraded brakes are needed really

I use to have my own Fiesta ST some years ago. Look who made this thread
The Fiesta ST is slow compared to the ST220. Don't believe the stats you read on the net, the Mondeo does 0-60 in around 6.8seconds where as the standard Fiesta ST is around 7.8 seconds.
Of course the Fiesta is more nimble in the corners but the ST220 just blows it away when it comes to power and rolling speed, well in everything else really.
Saying that though, i do enjoy driving the Fiesta still. Just a little hooning machine... I THRASH it everywhere
I only had the Fiesta ST for 1 year before i wanted more power but i put over 25k miles on in that year... Plenty of driving.
The Focus ST is a bit of a side step in my opinion, unless you are going to modify it. I doubt you will see much difference in performance. I didn't anyway... Again a bit more nimble but not by much. I think the 220 is very sightly a bit quicker at standard.
Saying that, i would happily own a 5dr Focus ST, but i would get it remapped on day 1. Think 260bhp is achievable by just a simple map. Still turn heads and becoming less common, given at one point they was everywhere.
