Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Hmmm yes could do mate along with the stuff that comes with them aswell.

The Focus ST will be around the same size as my Astra VXR, and my Astra copes with the kids and the equipment that comes with them (bikes, scooters etc) very well. I am only changing soon for a 5 door to save messing about with a baby seat.

Even better the Focus ST comes in a 5 door, so win win for you.

Have many people here done the 300mm brake upgrade? I'm wondering whether it's particularly worth it. Was considering upgrading the fronts first with mk3 Mondeo calipers + Turbogroove discs + redstuff pads but after I've done all this it's going to come in at like £250-300 for all the bits.

Is it really as effective as the price would lead to believe? And would the car be alright just having upgraded fronts or do you really need to do the rears at the same time...

Overkill in a car as little as the ST, but why not :p

Been looking at the new ST... To me it looks like a Punto.

My money will not be going anywhere near it. Very feminine, slow and they have took way to long to release it.

When is the next Fiesta shell due out? 2014? If i had 17k to blow and wanted something fairly cheap to run it would be go on a Clio 200 and have some dollar left to pocket.

What's the proper way to use the clutch then?!?! Got me paranoid now :o

How could dodgy clutch-work cause the diff to explode anyway? :p

Fair one :p

I thought i read that your clutch went. Have you managed to source a box yet? Should be plenty about i would have thought.

Someone was selling one on FFST some months ago, not sure if its still about though. Have you been sivving through all club sites?

My car is back on the road next Wednesday, can't wait. Greenlight have offered a quote about 500 quid less and don't charge extra for mods so going to be an expensive year.

You sure they don't charge extra for mods? GLI do good premiums but utterly crap when it comes to any changes as they will rob you of money from any little thing they can.

CS is a bit poop in my opinion to.

Carbon black with PB ST vinyl on them.

Proper ones are expensive though, think i paid about £100 for mine on the Fiesta. Constant nuicance as they always had to be re-positioned.

Agree with Janesy. I don't know why you would go from a Type R to a Fiesta ST? It is a downgrade.

I think the ST is a better looking car but it has the same high revs when cruising along the motorway, crap MPG around 28-32mpg. A good engine but you have to spend ££££ to get near the Type R engine.

Suppose the insurance would be a lot cheaper.

19k

Sorry, i know i sound like a broken record but there is no way i could put that down on a Fiesta. Especially knowing i could have a mint example RS Focus for the same price.

Yes, complete different running leagues, but still... You madheads :p

Lovely cars though, especially in blue :)

Yeah i thought they was being sold for around £14.5k. Had a letter off ford last week asking if i wanted to go test drive one.

Would do, but i don't want some remmer sat next to me telling me what i can and can't do. So not bothered.
