Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

No.

Never heard of anyone gearbox ruining its self unexpectedly, only threads I have come across what have issues with there gearbox's are people who do track days and openly admit they do traffic light races.

Pain to fit, car still gets muddy, always having to straighten them.

Ocuk didn't like the pictures... People who actually seen them liked them. I got fed up of them and took them off when selling the car. Car looks tidier without them.

How are you getting on with the VXR?

Loving it mate, for me it is a massive upgrade from the ST. The torque steer alone makes it worth it and the acceleration is mind blowing for a hatchback. Still trying to find the boundaries of it, got CS3 tyres on the way and new brakes and pads all around going on Tuesday.

Because more chavs/boy racers got hold of the 1.4.

My insurance for the VXR was 1033 fully comp, 10k miles, 2ncb and 3exp which is very good. Well that is until I added business insurance and it shot up £600... Another cost out of my pocket for this job.

Mine was 1500 for the fiesta. Get calculator out! Wish I could just go get a normal cheap car as it would save me a fortune every month. I know after a week of driving a Eco car, I would throw my self into a bridge out of pure boredom. I love my driving and that's why I pay a high premium to drive.

One day it will have to stop though, with the rising prices. Want a R34 skyline before I decide to be sensible and turn into a hippy :)

CS3 are good but I am replacing mine after just 2 n half months lol (4k miles).

Back ones are fine but the fronts are ruined :D

Yeah replaced them today lol. Think I have been a bit to spirited in my vxr :D

It needs to go as it is costing me a fortune.

6 csc3 tyres
4 brake disks and pads
Recirculation valve
Lambda sensor position 2
Gearbox rebuild
Few other little niggles

All in 3 months.

Rather spend the money on something I actually want :)

Shaun the going rate is £100 as you have to tilt the engine for a easy fit. It is possible to do it with out tilting but it is a proper ball ache.

If you want i can do some asking about and see how much it will cost?

Shaun the AMG guy is on FFST aswell. Can remember him posting a thread mentioning he has upgraded his Fiesta ST to that AMG. Awesome upgrade.

I don't finish work till 7, if you are both still down there i might pop down on the way home. Means I can avoid mrs's family gathering at my house :)

Yeah Ant is a top bloke, one of the best around to. Ever need anything, he will sort it.

Ah guess Ant didn't tell you about that one. I decided to keep, again.... lol

If i am free ill pop down and see how the car sounds. :)
