Currently searching for a 1 litre Fiesta with the Zetec S kit - whether it's actually a Zetec S or a Titanium. They're pretty hard to find for good money! Most are >6K

The 125 brake version is particularly nice.

Is there anything I should look out for on that engine?

Check for rust on the pipes leading to the turbo:

Check that the coolant pipe has been replaced as Ford made a Field Service Action to replace some that had brittle plastic that split.

Not ST related, but hopefully someone in here will know: just picked up a 60 plate Fiesta Zetec 1.4 for the wife, and trying to fit a spare wheel.

Have sourced a space saver spare 125/80R15 with jack/wheelbrace/wheel nuts etc locally for cheap, and then bought the foam/stowage part (1673161 https://www.fordpartsuk.com/spare-wheel-stowage-box) thinking that would raise the spare up.

However the floor still sags (due to the spacesaver not being tall enough), so think a "donut spacer" is needed, but have no idea of part number. Not sure whether to try and diy something but ideally would like original look if possible.

Also not sure which retaining screw I need, as the one that came with the jack etc isn't long enough (may just be for retaining the jack i think?):

edit:
May be this one but confirmation would be good:

The 1.6 is more reliable. There have been a few problems with the 3 cylinder engines (not just ford ones).

Thinking of getting an ST-2 2013 (MK7?) in the new year. My old 56 plate Focus has just been in the garage for the issue where water gets in the rocker cover causing rusty spark plugs and misfires. Really common problem apparently but wasn’t aware.

Is there anything I should look out for when viewing the Fiesta ST’s?

Not much seems to go wrong with them mechanically.

The interiors like to rattle and the ride on pre-2015 cars is really to hard for UK roads. Not everyone likes it.

beware pre 2015 cars due to the coolant system problems, the engines have a fundamental flaw that can cause the block to crack. There is a recall but all they do it fit a coolant warning system.

Cars made after late 2014 are fine though....

Just going off whats been widely posted on the net. So did they totally replace the cooling system? some people say that all they fitted was a sensor and that engines had been known to lock/blow even after this fix. ?

Anyway that aside getting a car made after 2015 is the safer bet and if you do go for an earlier one make sure the recall work has been done.

Not sure of the total parts fitted mate, they didn't replace to total cooling system as far as I know. As far as I know it only affected the earlier ones so a 2015 should be fine.

The damn voice button on my steering wheel has stopped working. I can no longer activate the voice functions though Bluetooth appears to be working fine and can answer/end calls using the same steering wheel buttons either side of the voice button.
Tried WD-40 specialist contact cleaner in case there was a build up of crap underneath but this doesn't appear to have made any difference.
Anybody have any ideas on why the voice button may not be working?

Take it out and properly clean it, worked for me :)

Easy enough to do without breaking things? I don't think it's a dirty button issue as none of the other buttons have any issues and nothing was intermittent before it stopping.

Yeah it was super easy, plenty of places online show how to get the plastic steering wheel bit off.

It was actually my volume which was not working, the rest were ok.
