Who here owns a Mini?

I had a GP1 and on the whole it generally OK.

I had the following mods on mine:

Janspeed Manifold & de-cat pipe
17% Alta SC Pulley
Uprated coil pack & ignition leads
Eibach Springs (10mm drop over my stock ride height)

All the work was done by Lohen...

Went back to a GP2 instead. Do plan to visit lohen though

So I guess I could still get it for my car... I've been quoted 275.00 for three years. Doubt it'll be much more for 5.

It sounds like you are talking about TLC XL and not TLC. XL is a 3 year extension to the 5 year TLC package and has always been 3 years.

TLC itself is not available for purchase unless the car has not yet had it's first service.

Then they'll be perfect. Think they run their own track cars, so they will offer good advice.

Heard good things about Coastal Racing too, not sure if that's more convenient for you...

Further way from me than Lohen lol!

Anyway, I was up at the crack of dawn today. Ready for a nice two and a half hour drive to Lohen. All checks (apart from the brakes and a slightly low coolant level) came back clear. I had my suspicions the discs required changing. So good thing I purchased a pair a few days ago (just waiting for them to be delivered) - So no trackday at llandow for me tomorrow :(

In other news....... Im tempted to go for a stage 1 map!

Couple of things

1. I'm looking for a particular set of wheels. They're from ATS and are called the DTC. I can't seem to find them anywhere.

2. The rear passenger wheel arch seems a little loose. I have a new set of clips. I may also replace the arch. Simple job. Or should I just have the dealer do it for me?

Just wasted a pile of money by buying some winter wheels. Ah well, good excuse to go in search of snow this winter :p

So it's been almost a month since I picked up my new GP. And so far the experience has been pretty good. Though I haven't really driven it much.

However that's not to say that I haven't spotted a few annoying issues. Issues that I really should have spotted upon collection -

*Front discs - The corrosion is pretty bad. The car had clearly not been used for some time.

*Rear passenger wheel arch trim - This looks as though it might be coming coming loose. I purchased a set of clips from BMW. I may also purchase a replacement trim.

A couple of weeks ago. I drove up to a specialist independent garage called lohen to give the car a health check. That set me back around £90. Lohen reported that the car was in good condition overall. Their only concern were the front discs and slightly low coolant level.

Cost this month:
*£220 - Front OEM discs
*£90 - Health check
*£3 - Replacement wheel arch clips
*£12 - Coolant
