Aghhh just found two of my tyres are screwed, one due to tracking (inside is now bald) and one due to a nail, that's £160 down the swannie for some new Avons.

I did Google this place though, they come to home or work to fit and prices seem pretty damn good http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/

Sigh. :(

Stuck a pair of 195 45 16s Yokohama S Drives on the wifes car [replaced Michelin Pilots] and they have amazing grip in the wet. £112 fitted :D

How much are these going for now?
What should I be looking for?
Whats running costs like?

I just paid £3800 for a 52 plate 172 cup, with two previous owners. Runing costs were one of the reasons why I bought one in the first place, am currently getting 40 mpg in my cup according to the trip(though it is lightly stripped out-no rear seats etc).

Just make sure that you buy one with a good history, and make sure if it has not missed its cam belt service or is overdue one. Biggest killer of clios!

Well I got about £4k to spend so I can get one quite easily then?

Whats the difference between the marks? Normally theres an issue with the MKI's and that gets sorted for the MKIIs?

When is the cam belt service due roughly? Im going to seriously look into this now I think :)

*I want one in that yellow :D*

A lot of people actually prefer the earlier phase 1 172's, but there's not much in it really. A lot comes down to personal taste, as they are aesthetically different. Read all this thread, most of your questions should be answered.

Oh, you won't get a Liquid Yellow one, as they didn't appear until the 182's, and are pretty rare anyway.
