Who here owns a Renaultsport?

You were right, it was in a dunt!

Went to see one today, albeit a cup! Not my usual intrest. But;

It was 50k, recaros :P, all matching rainsports? (are these common), a years MOT, 6 months TAX.

£4200? Too much, just right? Even worth thinking about a cup?

People seem to rate the rainsports quite highly on cliosport.net so I'm sure they must be getting a more common choice for the car.

Presume it's a 182 Cup? as far as I know you lose all the luxuries such as xenon lights, half leather interior, ABS and some other bits...I couldn't live with one everyday myself...I'd have a Cup for a track car! depends on what you want though...

I think the 182 Cup only came in two colours aswell (could be more not too sure)...racing blue and inferno red, presume it's one of those? I've seen a few dealers advertising 172/182's as Cup's and they clearly weren't lol!

As for the price it seems reasonable considering it has the Recaro's, any service history with it? and cambelt history!!?

Its a cup, and I could live with it everyday. It will still be more comfier than the current Astra! Plus the same amount of toys -climate control. But I can man up.

Plus I don't use a car to commute.

It has FSH, cambelt has been changed. So may need done in 12k miles again.

He is putting it through an MOT, replacing the one tyre, and removing a very small dent in the passenger side door. It is immaculate, perfect condition. Though it does need a new steering wheel, not as nice as the FF and a rear bench.

Does the paint differ on the CUP?

what sort of mileage can you expect out of the reanult clio 2.0 engines before you start having major issues/they start to go?

There are plenty on 100k plus with no issues.

Yeah was just having a look but for instance I have a yaris SR at the moment and as a general rule they last around 140,000 miles (yes some will last a lot longer some will last less, but as a general rule) as just had a quick look on autotrader and there are a lot on there with 110k + miles and just wondering if there is much life left in them at this point

I'm on 103,000 miles atm.

The engine is solid. Same cant be said for everything else, but hey, its French :)

Also, dam you ScarySquirrel and alexisonfire! I have now created a new shopping list of Clio parts in my head that I dont need but really want! lol.

If anyone knows of any turnis for sale, please let me know :)

Going to sell my RS 182 wheels for around £250 and put that towards them! My number plate still hasn't arrived :(

awesome, clios seem soo cheap atm. can get a 172 for like 1.5k and a decentish looking one for 2-2.5k which seems amazingly good value considering performance, especially as it is not too ridiculous fuel wise from what I hear

Fitted my dog bone mount poly bushes today and it really makes a difference! Things feel tighter when coming on power aggressively, and gearchange now feels solid no matter what you're doing!

I'd definitely recommend anyone doing it who hasn't already!

Pics here

I was on the Isle of Wight yesterday Mike, I tried to spot a silver 182 but no joy. Were you at the RR meet by any chance??

I'd never seen a white tiger before though, and it only cost us a fiver each to get in. And saw a Lion get given some deer to demolish!
Roads seemed quite narrow and buses go EVERYWHERE!!

That is a lot less than I paid, perhaps it's still off season.

Roads seem narrow because just about every road is a B road. As a result though, there are some cracking roads about.

Busses are a pain in the arse over here, they don't go everywhere but they are badly organised and ridiculously expensive - it is cheaper to drive.
