Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Get yourself some Brembos and DS2500 pads!

His issue was with boiling fluid, so I would focus on new fluid and lines first...

Although Brembos and 2500's get a lot of love. I went for DS Performance instead as they were cheaper and my Clio had already mugged my wallet enough!

Castrol super dot 4 and a set of goodridge or equiv lines did me very nicely, then pick your discs and pads of choice as everyone prefers different things :)

The combo I had on mine when I sold it was a set of the Brembo Max discs (got them cheap so thought may as well have the pretty grooves) and Yellowstuff pads and they stopped the car rather well.

I'd definitely try out the Pagid 4-2 pad if I was to do it again, cost a bit but very good and last ages.

Its a brilliant circuit...

I did 460miles in total and averaged 29.7mpg which i thought was pretty good going.

Eco run to the track (averaged 48.3)

Leaving the track i believe it was 23.4

And when i got home it was 29.7 :D

Sorry what? 29.7? if that includes track time you were driving it wrong:p

I didn't reset the meter from when i left home to when i got back. So when you take into consideration that 90% of the miles covered were at 40+ mpg, an over all average of 29.7 makes sense.

If i had reset the meter before going on track, i would probably of been around 12-15mpg.

My first experience of French reliability this evening.

What looks like (or rather I'm hoping!) a split PAS pipe.

Oh, the joys of owning an old car again :D

Away to look at another one, hopefully by lunch time!

I like the look of this one, if it is in the condition as advertised it will be bought! :)

Guys am sure someone here posted a link on how to add an aux in to the standard head unit.....can't find it!

Anyone got linkage?

MT AUDIO on CS.net.

On a lighter note, after last nights problems;

Renault's fix - £250 pipe and gearbox off to fit it.
Mike's fix - £10 and an hour faffing about.

I've got one with a melted steering wheel at the moment, and I'm not paying £10 to go onto a forum that I'd never use!

Anyone got a number for the fella who sells retrimmed steering wheels?

Thanks

Bought some second hand from the owners club, which unfortunately you'll need a membership for too.

You have to literally tear them off, tidy up what's left so there's nothing left in the grooves underneath, but be careful at the top of the grip as the plastic goes under the leather and you'll probably need a knife to cut it.

You need to be careful with what you buy as well, they need to have been removed carefully. If there is any of the black plastic left on the back then you'll likely need to pull/trim that off to get a good fit.

Ideally you then want to superglue the new ones in. I haven't yet and while they stay there just fine, it isn't perfect.

Send me a trust with your details, and I'll keep my eyes peeled for thumb grips for you.
