Who here owns a Renaultsport?

My Civics rattled more than my 182 does:p (have owned an MB6 VTI, EP3 and EK9)

I think the only rattle on the Clio is the drivers side window.

Gustov, can't see the advert but Anthracite is anthracite :/ should be fine?

Seem a good price, can't see the pics as at work though.

I get the odd rattles but nothing major, most of the rattles is due to the broken exhaust mounts! :(

Bear in mind that they're cup Turinis though, therefore the offset is different from the standard 182 cup packed wheels (if you want the same offset you need Trophy Turinis). I don't know enough about what different offsets mean, so it might be worth doing some searching on CS to see if it matters or not.

Ah, good point.

The Cup suspension is a slightly wider track than standard, so the cup wheels have a larger offset (bolt plate is further out from the centre line of the wheel) to accommodate and keep the wheels in the arches.

Dont quote me, but I think the stock wheels are something like ET37 and the Cup wheels ET45? Easiest way is to find out what your current wheels are and what those ones are (offset should be stamped on the inside somewhere).

alexisonfire - Did you get the K Tec coilovers? Have you fitted them yet?

A mate at work has a FF 182 and is tempted by the K Tec coilies, but has read reviews complaining about the cheapness of them and some people saying they are softer than stock cup suspension? I must say SS's didn't look soft at the RR. Interested in what you guys think of them, especially alexisonfire if he has just gone from cup pack suspension to K Tec coilies?

My replacement from Miltek will be arriving today. Took a while to contact me. I had to nudge Ktec again and had an e-mail 20 minutes later asking for an address to ship the replacement to.

Not sure whether it will be the whole system or just the back half. I would expect just the back half, however the whole thing could be poorly welded so we'll see if I get a new center silencer too.

Am touching wood mine doesn't go as the warranty is for the buyer only. What about fitting costs? Will KTEC fit it again, free of charge?

Fitted mine myself at a friends. So just have to arrange to use his garage & pit. Along with the inconvenience of having to refit. I would expect K-tec to refit it for free if I were the buyer and had they fitted it.

They haven't mentioned that they'll be collecting the old one  so I'll be lumped with that to either sell on for to be repaired or sell for scrap...

Repair and sell - win win!

Just the rear half arrived at about 5:45PM, cutting it fine!

No doubt I'll probably find a blow on the center silencer when I get under there! :p

Only got the fronts fitted for now, been to busy to do the rears, hopefully they are going on sunday. Can't really give any comment yet on whether it has approved as a) they are set stupendously low at the moment so haven't been able to drive anything other than granny like and b) the rear is 10 x higher at the moment :p

Getting into the multistory at work is an epic mission and a super butt clencher :p:p

Which part have they replaced? Want to sell it to me? :}

Not really tim, I average that all the time. Get it above 40,that's pro!

And alexisonfire, cops aren't so keen on tow eyes on the road, although bein on the front the chance of them stopping you is slim.

The back half. So from after the center silencer. (Back boxes, tips, etc).

Would love to get shot of it. I can give it a clean up and going over with autosol and the small blows could be re-welded over. If this is possible? The otherwelds are fine it's just where it splits to each silencer, above & below the weld.

You'd just need to either purchase the center silencer or make yourself a straight through pipe to take it up to the cat. It's still pretty much new being only 6 months old!

Interested?

OT: 42.7MPG is my best, cruise = win!

Benny - I managed around 41mpg with cruise on a run to heathrow and back. Cracking on a run using cruise arent they?

Tim - My 3.2 TT can manage that on a run and it hasnt got cruise fitted lol.

I also managed around 40-42 when using cruise control on the M25. Very handy if you fancy saving on fuel :)

My MPG has gone up from an average of about 32-33 to 34 now, even though I'm driving it in the way it should be driven ;)

I'm putting it down to the weather and new front tyres, oh and I have my alignment done a few weeks back. I know it shouldn't make that much difference, but I last filled up on Saturday last week, normally by now I'd be filling up again, but I have about a third of a tank left and I've driven the same journeys as I normally would. It's awesome :D

I managed 37.7 on my first long journey, and well I was hardly been econimcal seeing as it was my second day owning the car!

Going from here to Edinburgh tomorrow, with pretty much a full car. Aiming for 40mpg, be bloody impressed if I do!
