Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Watching the MPG and estimated range shoot up when you coast down hill is always a laugh :D

OT: What tyre pressures are people running. Don't happen to have my log book to hand as I'm in the office. Pritty sure Ktec put mine upto 30PSI front & back for my remap, seemed a little on the high side? It sprung to mind as having deflated tyres will decrease economy :)

Sure its 30 front and 33 back.

I'm running 28 front 30 back, going to put it to 30,33 for this journy tomorrow though.

i've managed 40mpg+ before. you do realise sheffield to lincoln isn't motorways right? I didn't use cruise, either.

never mind:p

I can average over 40MPG, If I really try.

I averaged something like 44MPG from Guildford to Portsmouth, albeit with a rolling start :D

I never really get over 25mpg no matter where I drive. Is this something to be worried about? Is there a chance my car is using too much petrol for a certain reason?

Also, I now have £900 :) Hmmmmm, not sure if I should buy the wheels (turinis) brand new.

Will be selling my 182 wheels for around £210 so they'll cost £390 new.

25mpg sounds very low, my 172 used to return mid to low 30s on a normal week, pushign high 30s or low 40s when on a motorway run.

Its possible, but my god is it boring...and that was a long run too :D

25mpg, either you have a lead foot or well your cars broke. I have been doing nothing but short journeys all week and seeing low 30s.

When are you changing up, 3k? 3.5k?

Depends how aggressively you're accelerating too. Driving mine like a pensioner sees me a good return. Driving it in a hurry to get up to speed sees me use more fuel and not get there any quicker. Now I rarely take it much over 2k/2.2k to change up. That and having cruise on at 33/34mph! lol

Was it all downhill too?!

I have been driving short journeys, so very rarely going above 4k. If normal driving I will just attempt to get to 5th as smoth as possible. I rarely drive more than 10miles return at a time. Engine doesn't heat up by the time I hit the next town.

Though I have been out a few cheeky runs, so that is why it is low 30s and not mid.

So guys, what could the problem be?

If I drive at 60mph on the motorway what kind of MPG should i be getting? Might go test it now...

High 30s, low 40s. Quite easily, the car is light and the engine is pretty good econimical. At 60, you should be at what, 3k rpm?

My good old 182 track **** is off to the welders tomorrow to have a roll cage fitted.

Last thing I'll do to this car......then it's just enjoying it on track as much as I can!
