Do I, don't I?

Depends. Do you have other things that should take priority for your funds? Any credit cards to clear? house deposit to save for? mortgage to over pay? holiday to save for? etc.

I very much wanted collies & buckets this week but increasing my deposit for the house/reducing my mortgage amount in October takes priority. Was just a few day fad I think. Mull it over before you ***** money up the wall :)

Looking good Gustov, happy with them?

Thanks, the offset is 40 though. Need to get the renault center caps too. Badly need to lower the car now, eibach springs good for the job? Not going to lower it an insane amount.

With regards to lowering the car, is it relatively easy to install the Eibach springs myself or would I have to take the car to a garage?

It should be a zero cost upgrade. Selling my 16"s and new tyres should pay for 15"s and some Sportlines.

Or atleast, thats the plan. Could have to replace the CV boot now aswell...

CS generally does my head in. 100x worse than RSC ever was. :p

If you miss RSC you can always sign up to Renaultonline.net which is a combination of RSC and the old Megane owners club.

Cliosport gets annoying with the clicky groups but do generally get some good advice on there.

Nice shiny new Brembo discs and pads all round. I did need to supply 2 new ABS rings for the rear but that didn't seem to cause any issues. Time will tell if the rear discs are of any better quality than the Renault part.

Also go a nice "dangerous to drive" on the invoice as the driver side front spring is broken in TWO places. I have thought the handling has been dodgy for ages and despite it being in numerous garages due to the aux belt escapade not one of them picked up on it. I was going to just replace the two front springs with genuine parts, but thought what the hell so i have a set of Eibach prolines on the way to be fitted early next week. Hopefully this will actually make the car fun to drive again for the summer months before I get shot of it at the end of the year. At least it stands a chance of passing its MOT first time next month.

Don't want to lower it much if at all especially given the state of the roads here. From reading a fair bit on the cliosport forum a few people seem to rate the prolines over the sportlines for handling others say there is little to no difference.

To be honest its cheaper to replace all the springs this way than buying 4 genuine Renault springs and to leave the car looking relatively stock.

Gave the car an epic clean today, stripped it back to lacquer (chemical wash + claybar) then polished and waxed it. Some photos of how its sitting atm (cheeky camber in the last photo :D )

Looks great alexisonfire! can't you lose some of the crap in the windscreen though?

Think I prefer the more plain Skoda splitter too.
