Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Booked in with GDI on 22nd Jan. They've got some special offers on servicing at the moment until end of Jan, with revised lower prices starting Feb 2009.

Spoke to Andy, he said I'd be looking at a 12k service, check if the aux belt was done with the cambelt back in Feb, if not then they can change it.

Very honest and sounded like they know there stuff, they could have easily said it's a 36k major service and rinsed my cash.

My only concern is they might find something that requires major £££. *hugs warranty booklet*

At the mileage yours has covered there is little that would need doing even worse case scenario. Mines going back in for a OMEX ecu and custom map.

How about this one Phase 2 182 rear mounted and Turbo Charged

That Clio would be seriously loud in the cabin!!

It had an advisory over the suspension bushes or something in it's MOT in Feb, will get them to check it out.

How much is that setting you back?

I can't wait to get the car serviced, all cars feel mint once they've been fettled with. Tempted to get the RS Tuner and map it myself, not sure if it's worth the £145 for a few bhp gains though.

I had the RS Tuner and the BHP difference was perhaps 7bhp and i have a BMC CDA and straight through exhaust. The thing with the RS Remap is it smoothes out the power delivery.

If you have had an advisory over the bushes it might be worth getting poly ones fitted whilst they have it up on the ramps

OMEX will cost about £1300 but its a modular unit that can be removed and sold on if i sell the car.

Been buying some toys for my 182 this past couple of weeks. Will have to post my opinions once ive installed it all.

Angelworks matched inlets (polished to a nice chrome effect)
RS Tuner remap kit
Goodridge Braided Brake Lines

Chrome battery cover for tart points, and finally a karscher pressure washer.

Just debating whether or not to buy some heatproof gaskets ive seen on ebay for the plenum etc. The other thing im mulling over is some new brake pads, already have Brembo max disks with Ferrodo premier pads which seem pretty good but i fancy trying the ds2500 iirc.

Im starting to ask the question, what next ?

Was considering an Elise or VX220, but im not sure they would survive where I park. Golf GTI Edition 30 was also under consideration. Any 182 owners who have moved on have any suggestions ?

I probably won't replace the 182 until at least the middle of next year.

I'm in the same boat as you, as soon as I graduate and get a job I'll be looking for something else. I've been looking at S2000's and VX220's as they both seem attractively priced. Also no commitments so a 2 seater would be ok :)

The price of everything has dropped through the floor, I'm not expecting to get more than 2k for my 172 really but it is a 2001 ph2. 2k should be a nice deposit though ;)

I was going to call up about one thats just poped up on autotrader, but can anyone help me confirm that its actually a 1.2 not the 2L sport?

heres the ad:

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...cleYearOfManufacture=2004&vehicleRegLetter=04

REG: KR54UZV

I did a seach on the autotrader "whats my car worth" and "vehicle check"

Definitely a 1.2 or lesser model than a Renaultsport.

It doesn't have a sport front bumper, the wheels are wrong and it doesnt have brake disks all round.

how do u tell if its a different front bumper?

The wheels i thought looked the same as a sport model ?

Cheers

Yeh because you never see people put alloys from a car higher up its range on do you! :D

All Sports come with all round disc brakes, that im afraid has rear drums.
