Who here owns a Renaultsport?

From what i remember it is between 10 and 20 bhp. Bex at GDI has a Mk1 Clio RSi running a Spider engine with Omex ecu and lumpy cams, goes like stink!

Car in this weekend for Braided brake lines,Brembo Hi Carbon discs and Mintex 1144 pads. Should help with the stopping.

^^ Sounds good! I was gonna upgrade my brakes, but learnt that because im under 25 I cant mod my 182 :(

Although pads arent really a mod, and the brembo HCs look exactly the same as standard discs, and braided lines arent really a mod! Are they!?!

Would insurance companys really get fussy over not declaring braided lines? I suppose they would actually, come to think of it! And I bet I couldnt play dum and say they were there when I bought the car :(

Stupid that they try to punish you for making the car a lot better braking wise than a standard car.

True, but then I guess they take the assumption that if you're making them better it's because you are using them harder/more late braking etc :)

Plus as standard the brakes on them are very good anyway, I always bring it up but Autocar timed it 100-0 in one of it's 0-100-0 tests to be quicker than almost everything they tested including the 911 at the time (3.99 secs iirc).

Can count themselves lucky they were not in mine! When i hit the brakes now i have a Flintstone moment! X=Drilled discs that are on it are buggered.

Also debating on these at the moment, im not sure if i like them now.

Mine will be with GDI in January, It's over 1 hour 30 mins away but heard nothing but good news from them. Hopefully my works bonus is enough to cover the work.

My car will be pushing 31k by the time January comes around, not sure what service to have? It's a 2002 ph2 flamer btw :)

Andy,Bex and Danny are great mate, only problem is when you get there you want to keep spending! If your lucky you might get Andy to fire up the Dodge Viper they have there. Its awesome.

Ha ha, any idea on the servicing?

Well servicing is every 12k or 2 years, with it going minor minor major, work it out from that :)

Aux belt every 36k (can't remember how many years, probably 3), cam belt every 72k or 5 years (some say to get it done sooner though).

New bits to play with
